Here is George Clooney’s response after Trump accused him of being a "Hollywood elite."
"Here’s the thing: I grew up in Kentucky. I sold insurance door-to-door. I sold ladies’ shoes. I worked at an all-night liquor store. I would buy suits that were too big and too long and cut the bottom of the pants off to make ties so I’d have a tie to go on job interviews. I grew up understanding what it was like to not have health insurance for eight years.
So this idea that I’m somehow the “Hollywood elite” and this guy who takes a shit in a gold toilet is somehow the man of the people is laughable.
People in Hollywood, for the most part, are people from the Midwest who moved to Hollywood to have a career. So this idea of “coastal elites” living in a bubble is ridiculous. Who lives in a bigger bubble?
He lives in a gold tower and has twelve people in his company. He doesn’t run a corporation of hundreds of thousands of people he employs and takes care of. He ran a company of twelve people!
When you direct a film you have seven different unions all wanting different things, you have to find consensus with all of them, and you have to get them moving in the same direction.
He’s never had to do any of that kind of stuff. I just look at it and I laugh when I see him say “Hollywood elite.” Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, Donald Trump has a star on Hollywood Boulevard! Fuck you!"

On April 20, 1999, a tragic shooting and a foiled bombing occurred at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado. Images captured before the chaos show William “Dave” Sanders leading more than 100 students from the cafeteria to safety.
Although he successfully saved these students, he was subsequently shot twice in the chest and tragically did not survive.

In 1908, Houdini stood at the edge of the Harvard Bridge—commonly referred to as the Mass. Ave. Bridge—and was shackled by a Boston patrolman. His hands were handcuffed behind his back and chained to a collar around his neck.
According to a Boston Globe article chronicling the feat, a signal was tooted from a towboat, and Houdini went overboard into the chilly waters below.
“There is always the possibility that I will be unable to free myself, as one never can tell what will happen to a lock,” Houdini told the newspaper.
“However, I am a good swimmer, have confidence in myself, and I hope to perform this feat successfully.”
The Globe estimated some 20,000 spectators gathered to see Houdini’s leap, including the mayors of Boston and Cambridge. They waited 40 seconds for the magician to resurface, which he did with the shackles in his hands.

BREAKING: Disgraced former Speaker Kevin McCarthy dramatically announces that he will not be seeking reelection and will instead retire from Congress at the end of the month — capping his failed career with a defeated exit.
The history books will not be kind to this man...
McCarthy's lasting legacy will be enabling the rise of Trumpist fascism and the humiliating manner in which he was ousted as Speaker by the far-right wing of his toxic party — marking the first time in history that the House voted to oust its own leader.
"I have decided to depart the House at the end of this year to serve America in new ways, said McCarthy who has never served anyone but himself his entire life. "I know my work is only getting started."
Since McCarthy is retiring early in shame, California's Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom will have to call a special election. Somebody has to clean up McCarthy's mess.

CNN reports that, “Chesebro’s cooperation with Nevada prosecutors covers his involvement in that state leading all the way up” to Trump’s deadly January 6 insurrection.
Adding insult to injury for Trump, CNN also reports that “Chesebro has already pleaded guilty in the Georgia 2020 election subversion case, where he has admitted to conspiring with Trump to put forward slates of fake electors in multiple states” — and “CNN has identified Chesebro as an unindicted co-conspirator in the federal criminal case that special counsel Jack Smith brought against Trump this summer.”
This is devastating for Donald Trump because Cheseboro is going to be the nail in the coffin for him on multiple different cases because he’s cooperating with prosecutors — and nobody can tell judges and juries more about Trump’s fake electors crime spree than him.
