does anyone have an invite code to taste the amontillado montresor recently acquired?
still poking my head in here occasionally and it's bizarre that people are even talking about these corporate twitter clones. have we learned nothing?
seriously, there are *no ads* on mastodon. why would I ever want to go back to a for-profit social network
two days in I can report that mastodon is easily just as good an experience as twitter. I've reconnected with friends who migrated a while ago, and if a handful of additional people switched (especially somerville civics folks!) I'd have *zero* need to check this feed anymore

just a few minutes left to back the @WorldbreakersAK expansion! help us break $30k; we're so close!

Moth season is here. These are the types of moths.

ALT A comic titled Types of Moths, with nine panels arranged in a 3 by 3 grid. From left to right and top to bottom, there's a green and white moth labeled bird poop, a brown moth with big antennae labeled gets wifi, a large brown and blue-eyed moth labeled large friend, a tiny orange moth labeled beautiful pattern, probably, a beige and blue moth labeled impossible to ID to species, a beige and brown moth labeled that one you know, with the thing - arg, I forget the name, a yellow and pink moth labeled stuffed toy, a dizzyingly patterned purple and brown moth labeled so dizzyingly complex that it consumes your soul, and a green and white striped moth labeled ooh green.

If all goes to plan, tonight will be my last night as co-chair of the urban forestry committee.
This is a good thing, deliberate and overdue, but it's got me in a retrospective mood - so I wrote a piece about the six-year journey that led here.
