still poking my head in here occasionally and it's bizarre that people are even talking about these corporate twitter clones. have we learned nothing?
seriously, there are *no ads* on mastodon. why would I ever want to go back to a for-profit social network
if by "talked about" you mean "streamed yourself playing for a large number of hours", then yes, several things
I get about the same engagement either place but that's like...2 favs on a post
anyway my feeling is that if people want to read your stuff and it's not a huge hassle to get to it, they'll find you. it's not like somerposting is your livelihood, so what's the real risk anyway?
two days in I can report that mastodon is easily just as good an experience as twitter. I've reconnected with friends who migrated a while ago, and if a handful of additional people switched (especially somerville civics folks!) I'd have *zero* need to check this feed anymore

Even before the pandemic, it was estimated 90% of people with ME didn't have a diagnosis. Most were called lazy or depressed and were slowly disappeared from society. This is a major sign that's starting to happen to people en masse. Most won't even know they're disabled.
