In 2024, Governor Okpebholo's polling unit had 397 voters on the register. In 2026, it has 4,783. That's 4,386 new voters, a 1,105% increase. A Guinness World Record? @inecnigeria, please explain. 👀

Seyi Makinde during his town hall meeting in Enugu, said that his team informed him that the entire South East is already on lockdown for Peter Obi and there's no need going there. But, regardless, he told them he'll come and do due diligence. This is not just about what they told him, Makinde is subtly campaigning for Peter Obi and strategically emphasizing the message that Peter Obi is already one region ahead of others. That was a brilliant politics there by Seyi.

Will your presidential candidate visit some states for campaign? Our presidential candidate has been going round the country campaigning, and he will visit every state in the country, campaigning alongside our National Leader. Your Presidential candidate can’t try it. He will tear his ACL. The National Leader of our great party, the NDC, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson is committed to Obi/Kwankwaso ticket.
I haven’t seen Supreme Leader Seriake Dickson and Kwankwaso accompanying Peter Obi to town halls and campaign rallies. Interestingly, Dickson seems more focused on projecting the NDC than campaigning for Obi. The big question is: Will Dickson join Obi on the campaign trail across the states? 🤔

When I lectured in the North, it coincided with an election. At the INEC office, I WITNESSED hundreds of children beteeen 5 & 9 not only get registered - but registered in triplicates. You do not know the extent of election fraud in Nigeria.

I am deeply concerned by reports of suspected artificial intelligence-generated photographs and other questionable records in the preliminary register of voters published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). These allegations raise serious questions about the integrity of our voter registration system and the safeguards in place to protect the credibility of the forthcoming general elections. With the 2027 elections approaching, INEC must provide Nigerians with clear and convincing answers. How did these suspicious images enter the register? Were the individuals associated with these records genuinely registered? Were the identities properly verified, and could these irregularities have affected the accuracy of the voter register? While I welcome INEC’s decision to investigate the matter, but Nigerians deserve more than assurances. The investigation must be thorough, transparent and independent (outside of INEC’s internal affairs), with its findings made public and any individuals found culpable held accountable in accordance with the law. INEC must also allow a comprehensive and independent audit of the preliminary register, verify questionable entries, investigate possible duplicate or artificial identities and ensure that no eligible Nigerian is disenfranchised in the process of correcting irregularities. Our democracy cannot afford any compromise in the integrity of the voter register. Every eligible Nigerian must have the right to vote, and every vote must count. Equally, nobody should be allowed to exploit technology, including artificial intelligence, to undermine our electoral system. The credibility of the 2027 elections begins with a credible voter register, and INEC must get its act together. - RMK
