Nigeria is an interesting place where almost everyone criticises everyone else for not doing what needs to be done which they aren't doing themselves.
Everyone asking "who shall go for us?"
None saying "here I am, I'll get us started."
It's still that thing of seeking saviours.

I will prefer that President Tinubu loses the election than him promising Nigerians that he will return the fuel subsidy and reverse his economic reforms that have set Nigeria on the path of growth and economic prosperity. At this critical stage of our country, if Nigerians want someone to lie to them to get their votes, that’s on them. But President Tinubu must never be part of those people who just want to comfort Nigerians with lies to secure their votes. He should tell us what we must hear, the painful truth and not comforting lies. Then let Nigerians decide who they want to trust their future with come January 2027.

Two interesting things I discovered this week are:
1. That you can get genuine court affidavits online from the Nigerian Federal High Court. A genuine one, not the ones those roadside people give you.
The website has all sorts of affidavits, even ones I didn't know existed.
2. The National Population Commission has a working portal. You can register your newborn online and get a certified birth certificate that is accepted worldwide.
You can do all these things without any bureaucracy.

“Every 🇳🇬Nigerian boom ended in the same way…
…When the dollars dried up, you are scared that the exchange rate will depreciate, so you try to protect it…This government broke the old rule…
Keep that commitment. Don’t celebrate appreciation, because it creates an expectation…

🇳🇬Nigeria and 🇮🇩Indonesia had similar share of rents (resource driven) to GDP ratio between 1970s and 1990s
🇮🇩Indonesia’s natural resources and related product, today, make up only 40% of Exports, while 🇳🇬Nigeria’s still makes up 80%
🇮🇩Indonesia achieved this because they built an economy anchored on macroeconomic stability. It protected the technocrat who had to do this from within the political class and bureaucracy

Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as Africa’s most hated, most attacked, most castigated, and most vilified politician who nevertheless remained humble, persistent, undaunted, and strategically focused. Against all odds, he endured and was ultimately crowned.
You may not want to hear that he will be crowned again — but that is the reality.

Replying to @NBS_Nigeria
@NBS_Nigeria why don't we get state-level GDP?
Where is economic activity concentrated?
In 2025, Gauteng led most industries, contributing 43% of finance, 41% of government, 40% of manufacturing and 35% of transport value added. Mining remained concentrated in North West (26%) and Limpopo (25%). #ProvincialGDP #StatsSA

In an #Ebola outbreak, governments can help people who need to isolate or quarantine by providing incentives. This makes everyone safer. We welcome #Nigeria’s commitment.

Earlier this morning, the Ebola patient in Nigeria and her contact, who is also her husband, were medically evacuated to Switzerland.
The reasons for the evacuation are:
✅ Both the patient and her husband are Swiss citizens.
✅ The patient is clinically stable. The Nigerian medical team successfully managed her through the acute phase of the illness and stabilized her condition.
On behalf of WHO and all partners, I warmly congratulate the Government of Nigeria, health workers, clinicians, emergency responders and all those involved in the response. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to what Africa can accomplish when we work together.
With the evacuation of the patient and her husband, Nigeria currently has no Ebola cases.
However, vigilance remains critical. Nigeria will continue the close follow-up of 52 contacts, while Switzerland will assume responsibility for the continued management of the patient and the follow-up of contact number 53, her husband.
Congratulations once again to everyone involved. This is a proud moment demonstrating African expertise, resilience, and leadership in public health.

No entanto, é fundamental manter a vigilância.
I Confirm that, with my approval, earlier this morning, the index case for Nigeria’s first imported Ebola virus disease departed Abuja for Switzerland. The index patient was clinically much improved, stable, conscious, communicating, and her clinical laboratory test results closing towards baseline. This does not mean she is not still infectious, hence the strict protocols in place.
The patient was evacuated along with her spouse who has remained asymptomatic.
I thank all the various clinical staff for the high quality care they provided the patient as well as the public health personnel who ensured the evacuation was carried out in line with best public health measures for such evacuations.
We will provide further updates later this afternoon after the patient and her spouse lands successfully in their destination.
All public health measures are continuing to ensure successful containment of the imported virus. I urge Nigerians to remain vigilant and rely on information from credible sources.

Bro, this mob came for your family. They opened the wounds of your wife’s worst trauma. What are you explaining to them? What common ground do you expect to establish with them? This is a mob you ought to discard into the abyss of indifference, if you can’t have a go at them!
This is especially when you did nothing wrong.
And they are not “Dear Nigerians.” They are Obidients. Nigerians are civilised.

I can’t even lie this is a win - win for teleco companies, Govt and the people. The Telecos will be free of hungry communities who will budget their entire problem on the mast, people will use it and the Govt will get its money from telecos, above all it is a solar powered site.
NUCAP is here. Another major step towards connecting every Nigerian.
Starting with the commissioning of our first site in Bende, Abia State, NUCAP will deliver 3,700 telecommunications towers across Nigeria, connecting close to 20 million Nigerians currently without access.
For the farmer unable to reach a buyer, the trader unable to receive a payment, or the family unable to call for help, connectivity opens up possibilities too long denied.
President @officialABAT’s ambition for a $1 trillion economy requires every Nigerian to have the opportunity to contribute and share in its prosperity. That is why this investment matters.
With NUCAP, no community will be left behind.
