Folks, Greg Abbott did this to himself. He begged the tech companies to come to Texas, and he had them bring their H1b employees, most of which are from India. 70 to 80 percent vote democrat.
He pleased big business and got himself voted out.
Did you ever wonder why the US Border Patrol was not mass deporting illegal aliens out of Houston or Dallas wholesale?
His chickens have come home to roost.
"Texas has added ~476k new lawful permanent residents in just the last four years. That scale of legal immigration is more than enough to erase the old GOP margin and produce the early Democratic lead we’re seeing tonight."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
H-1B holders cannot vote; only U.S. citizens can. Indians face long green card waits (often 10+ years) then 5 more for citizenship. ~228k Indian American eligible voters in TX lean Dem, small vs ~700k margin. Latino voter shifts were larger drivers.

After this election, even before they’re sworn-in, newly minted politicians will go behind closed doors in the swamp to pick the majority leader, minority leader, whips, etc., and to nominate a Speaker.
They’ll vote for candidates who promise campaign cash, good times, good committee assignments, and subcommittee gavels. When it’s all said and done, your Representatives will also pledge their congressional voting cards to the leaders of RED team and BLUE team, who are secretly playing on the same team.
That’s how your election will get stolen. I compare these Representatives to Jack who traded the family cow for magic beans… but in this version of the story, the beans never sprout and lobbyists eat the beef.

IMO Texas won’t go red again maybe ever. This is the California-tipping point where demographics make going red impossible. A dem governor will also exponentially increase illegal voting and probably secure blue Texas for 2028 and the death of the Republican Party permanently

Economy over everything
Inflation. Gas. Interest rates. Tariffs. No shit
I just hope a butt whopping like this leads to MODERATES leading again
A wipe like this is not an endorsement of woke nor a condemnation of capitalism. I hope people realize that
Back to moderates? 🙏

At what point do we stop focusing on who needs to pay more tax and start asking where all of our tax money is going.

“Woke is dead”?
The success of DSA candidates who support abolishing borders and criminal justice across the country signals that "woke" is far from dead.
It is growing more radical, inciting violence, becoming increasingly entrenched in the Democratic Party—and achieving electoral wins.

That’s right. Read it again. And again.

Since the beginning of the first expedition 26 years ago on Nov 2, the International Space Station has been inhabited continuously.
