Throwback to when @JEChalmers blamed the current Prime Minister for interest rate rises in 2022.
The cash rate went from 0.10% to 0.35%.
Today the cash rate is 4.85%.
An 18 year record and the most interest rate rises under any Australian government.

Could the 5 interest rate rises this year been avoided? A cut of 2% in governemnt spending is roughly equivalent to offset 5 interest rate rises, using a rough approximation of modeling done by ANU economist Chris Murphy.

Fancy taking out a 5% deposit government scheme home loan and then having 5 consecutive interest rates rises based purely based on the incompetence of the same government whilst the value of your property is in free fall. Yikes #RBA
