The U.S. Federal Election Commission’s website has been hit by a cyberattack that disrupted its electronic filing system.
Reuters is claiming they saw an email that confirms the attack.
The FEC responded by saying, “at this time, the FEC’s electronic filing system is currently offline and our IT staff are actively working to restore service.”
This comes a week before the November 3 elections.

🚨 A USPS letter carrier in Utah just got indicted for allegedly dumping more than 300 mail-in ballots in a church parking lot dumpster.
Acting Deputy Attorney General Trent McCotter laid it out: the carrier knew they were ballots. They were clearly marked. He threw them in the trash anyway. They never reached the June 23 primary voters.
One carrier. One route. Hundreds of ballots gone. 🗑️

A very clear demarcation line is being set before Election Day arrives.
Absolutely no one involved in the elections in all 50 states will be able to say they did not know this was coming.
They were told for months, in the most explicit language possible:
You Will conduct your state’s federal elections for federal offices in compliance with federal law, or YOU WILL BE CRIMINALLY PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
There is no gray area here.
There isn’t any wiggle room.
The Trump administration was not subtle at all about this.
They used the clearest language for months to get the threat across.
Nobody who ends up being federally charged, indicted and arrested, will be able to claim they **did not know this was going to happen to them**.
And you WILL SEE several governors attempt to foment an insurrection against the US Government as they impotently attempt to BLOCK their state’s election officials from being arrested by federal agents.

BREAKING: A MICHIGAN COURT JUST ORDERED BENSON TO TELL EVERY CLERK IN THE STATE TO KEEP THE NOVEMBER 3 POLL BOOKS.
The Court's words to Jocelyn Benson, Michigan Secretary of State: "Defendants are directed to instruct all local election officials to retain the EPBs from the November 3 General Election."
And Benson's deletion rule? "Defendants are precluded from enforcing Rule 168.48 pending the resolution of this matter."
Benson's rule: DELETE the poll book files 7 days after the election is certified.
Federal law: KEEP election records 22 months.
One township clerk asked which law to follow. Nobody answered. So Michelle McQueer sued.
In August, the Court protected her file, the ONLY one known to still exist, and barred enforcing the rule against her.
Today it extended that protection to EVERY clerk in Michigan, on an additional request from the RNC and Michigan Republican Party, who joined her case this month. Glad to have them in the fight.
Along the way, @TheJusticeDept and the @CivilRights division told the Court the Secretary "remains ultimately responsible" for preserving poll book data. And Benson's own data manager swore the list each precinct downloaded for Election Day "need not be uploaded."
Reconstruction is not preservation.
This isn't the final ruling. But no November poll book gets deleted while the judge decides. That's all one clerk asked for.
ONE CLERK. ONE QUESTION. EVERY NOVEMBER POLL BOOK SAVED.
