Claims of big in-house momentum for Legora.
First 100 in our @ACCinhouse GC / Head of Legal survey: Two (2) considering it, ZERO using it.
Harvey higher but still under 10%.
Speculation on these valuations, but there’s clearly a large remaining share to capture, though general tools like Claude and OpenAI look to be moving faster with the same buyers.
HT @MaxJunestrand @winstonweinberg
There's a hell of a legal market to grab here at @TheoremLTS now supporting 6000+ in-house legal departments with discovery, evaluation, and procurement.
Agentic commerce 🚀
We have raised a $550M Series E at an $8.8B valuation, led by Atreides.
Every major existing investor is back in, and we’re welcoming Baron Capital, Capital Group, Fidelity, Glade Brook and J.P. Morgan. We picked investors who think in decades. Several of them work with law firms and legal teams every day, so they can see where the work is heading.
Lawyers are moving from AI assistants to agents that do multi-step work. The money goes there. We’re growing our teams across North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, and going deeper on the Legora aOS.
Thank you to the 1,000+ people at Legora, and to the 140,000 legal professionals who use what we build.
I say this a lot because I believe it: it’s the best time in history to be a lawyer. We're thankful to be a part of it.

@willchen500 thoughts? is it about how much market they can capture? or is it really about what they already have?
Is this the future of LegalTech & Software Sales? Never heard of this company - Even if I assumed all claims and functionality are legit, what then?

I still don’t see @grok widely adopted in legal - Yet. OpenAI had the first-mover advantage, and both OpenAI and Anthropic built dedicated legal GTM teams. There was also real early pushback against anything Elon-related in the legal world. A lot of “experts” dismissed Grok outright. I’ve said it in talks for years: never bet against these entrepreneurs. There’s real power in optimizing for maximum truth and free-market competition. @AriKaplan can attest ^
Please share the survey with your in-house friends. Posted yesterday afternoon - already 100s of legal team stacks collected!

Did Harvey and Legora both launch Intake today? Is there AI Marketing Agent the same "person" ? This level of coordination is pretty strange. I will say that the amount of red bubbles here just made my anxiety go through the roof...
Today we’re launching Intake, the agentic legal front door for in-house teams.
A better tool inside a broken process only helps lawyers move faster through the broken process. Requests still arrive incomplete. Routine work still eats senior time. And the General Counsel still can’t see what the team is working on.
Intake fixes the front end. An ad-hoc request becomes tracked work in @WeAreLegora. The Legora Agent does the work and sends it back to the requester. A lawyer is accountable the whole way through.
Available now: legora.com/product/intake
FTR, Legora was totally 6 hours ahead. That's like 2,000 in savings at est. billable rates...

Introducing Intake, where every ask to legal gets routed and resolved.
Requests come in through the tools your business uses, including email, Slack, Jira, and ServiceNow.
Intake gathers the right context, then routes and resolves requests using your legal team’s rules: where each request goes, what agents can resolve autonomously, and what needs a lawyer’s review.
Answers and follow-ups go back through the same channels.
Go from request to resolution faster with Intake.
Who has the best Legal RFP platform? Love how AI uses Theorem to do the analysis for Best Legal RFP platforms and help rate others. Below that you can see who sponsors ads and wonder how much it's costing them to remain relevant...
Theorem is about to change the game for agent-to-agent procurement and API distro FOR BOTH legal tech and legal services.
The real stories I want to see in the #legaltech news are the startups rebuilding point solutions from the ground up and packaging them into platforms to offer new best in class software for a fraction of the price per use case!!
No concessions. All upside. No retreat!

This is correct. It is time to fix this failed system.
I understand that the social security conversation is political poison. But I’m not running for office so I don’t care about that. Taking huge chunks out of the paychecks of young working Americans in order to pay for the retirements of older Americans who have a net worth several times higher, all to prop up a system that everyone knows likely won’t be there when those younger people are retirement age themselves, is morally abhorrent and economically insane. Everyone knows it, too, but we’re held hostage by elderly politicians who refuse to surrender power, and older voters who, as a group (with exceptions, obviously), simply don’t care all that much about the financial and cultural future their grandchildren will inherit.
100+ legal tech providers I had never heard of inquired to join @TheoremLTS this month. Some of these are very niche (Good). Some aren’t market ready (OK). A few look fake/fraudulent (Bad). Others are pretty solid clones of other providers (scary) ... Time will tell. We created new functions to sort through these + our essential/verified plan is a good barrier for fraud.
Aiming to be the most trusted marketplace for legal tech / services.

She’s starting the next LegalAI like Harvey/Legora, code-named Rachel. It’ll be safe and secure and protect your constitutional rights and liberties - the cost, just one drop of blood.
Today I go to the first graduation ceremony I've been to in a long time.
I graduated high school, left Stanford to build Theranos, got my honorary doctorate, and now walk for the Law Apprenticeship I completed.
The symbolism of doing so for Constitutional law studies while held in a prison, fighting to prove my innocence, is radiating through me today.
There is no greater way I know to protect liberty than to defend our Constitution when it is trampled upon.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know

The prevailing reason is that these AI leaders aren’t the type anyone would follow into battle. People follow them for money and proximity to power. Watching the @allinsummit, the idea is just to rebrand the AI movement. People see through that and listen in real time as you spin the narrative. No one wants you to rebrand unhealthy food. Americans long for CEOs who shouldn’t have been beaten up in high school for being unlikable and creepy. Calls to replace leadership remain the crux of the issue.
