This is all true, but then I also watch Suzuki today and wish we had that type of goalkeeper again.
The Trafford stylistic debate is irrelevant at the moment. Problem is that Donnarumma is just letting in soft goals and isn't actually being good at what he's meant to be like. Largely most of us would not give a shit about his footwork if he wasn't letting in goals like that.

Briefly ending my twitter hiatus to say that this guy has absolutely lost the plot
There has to be a strong case now for Sky and other channels ceasing to broadcast Manchester City games live until their punishment has been decided. Their games are ghost games.

Fair play, might be the least funny tweet since this whole thing started eight years ago
Towards the end of the 2018 Carabao Cup final, Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger asked me as fourth official for more added time, despite being 3-0 down I assumed he meant another minute or two, but now realise he must have meant eight years Sorry, Arsène premierleague.com/en/news/47…

For eight seasons, Dan was a Premier League assistant referee. Then doctors found two tumours in his spine. This is an emotional conversation about football, identity, and the pain of having the game taken away from you. It may take years to conclude but we’re very likely to be punished in the meantime, so it’s not looking good

Weirdly makes me feel worse. Whatever illusion of hope was left has now been confirmed as nothing
🚨Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano has told a meeting of European club chiefs that a conclusion to the 115 'is going to take a lot more time'. According to sources, Soriano asked to take the floor at the summit around an hour ago before delivering a short statement.

Have hardly consumed any football content in the last few days for obvious reasons but it’s a testament to how good this is that I was disappointed when it finished. A cathartic listen in a bleak week

Which is ironically what the rules were designed to do in the first place
Man City charges & best idea I’ve heard on sanctions: forward-facing charges must decelerate City to extent they unfairly accelerated success. So multiple years of hefty points deductions, limiting their revenues & ability to compete. youtu.be/6g0OA-FRxEo?is=abtj… via @YouTube

Moral high-ground mogged by Richard Keys, what a day it’s been
The bottom line is Manchester City owe English football an apology. They cheated & warped our game. I know it’s nothing to do with the guys on the pitch but most of them wouldn’t have been there if City had played by the rules. Their achievements feel very hollow right now.
