Ukraine did this after Cuba spent hundreds of millions of dollars treating thousands of sick Ukrainian children from Chernobyl. Cuba spent 20 years providing specialised care they couldn't afford in Ukraine. Ukraine paid nothing, voting to starve Cuba was their payment I guess.

Gambling is not evil, and a Restore Britain Government will reduce taxes on the industry.
Adults should be free to make their own choices about how they spend their own money - a wild thing for a political party to say, I know.
Britain has a successful gambling industry that supports local economies all over the country.
In my constituency alone we have horse racing, a greyhound stadium, plenty of arcades and more.
We should be encouraging responsible operators to thrive, not taxing them into dust.
Problem gambling is an issue and should be properly addressed. But punishing an entire industry, costing thousands of jobs, for the actions of a very small number is not the answer.
Restore Britain will back British gambling.
Quite funny how shallow our talent pool of politicians is with gormless morons like this elected to our national legislature.
Wouldn’t be trusted to run a shop in China, never mind be elected to any kind of post of political responsibility.

This totally encapsulates my time at Uni. Sociology lectures covering liberal ideas reframed as being somehow radical. Tutorials and seminars with folk who self-conceive as Marxists espousing anti-Marxist dogmas (likely because they've been told they're Marxist). It's maddening.

You can tell the talks between Norway, Finland and Russia were important because @thetimes felt it had to give them a paragraph on p30.
Much as it undermined their pro-war agenda, the paper couldn't completely ignore two NATO members reopening diplomatic channels with Moscow.
Bias is often shown as much by the prominence given to a story as the way in which it's written.
Finland joining NATO in 2023 after decades of neutrality was, of course, front page news.
