Carbon County once powered the American West with coal. Now, rural Wyoming will transport wind energy all the way down to southern Nevada across a 725-mile interstate transmission line. This is what investing in America and the future of our workforce look like.

First windiest in the Lower 48. About one-third of WY’s total installed power plant capacity comes from wind turbines making emissions-free electricity without using water.
The second windiest state, Wyoming, is investing in wind energy. What will be the largest wind farm in the continental U.S. is about to be built there. This Sunday, @BillWhitakerCBS reports on the state’s investment in renewable energy.

My latest talk is up on TED.com. On clean energy, the obstacle is no longer economics - it's NIMBY and permitting, especially for transmission. To go faster, we need to clear these barriers. We need to build. ted.com/talks/ramez_naam_a_f… @JesseJenkins @Noahpinion @scienceisstrat1

👋 We've put together a @lowercarbon wishlist of carbon removal ideas, both geochemical and biological. A lot of them won’t work, most will need new research, but they all need ambitious founders to try them! lowercarboncapital.com/2022/…

🔵 This 🟡 is 🟠 a 🔴 #ClimateEmergency. The 🌍 has already warmed by more than 1°C. We can still limit temperature rise to 1.5°C & avoid the worst climate impacts. But we need more ambition now. Countries must improve national climate plans before #COP27. ©️: @anttilip
