Republicans have spent the last forty years demonizing Democrats so successfully that Republican voters would rather put an obvious fascist tyrant in the Oval Office than vote for a middle-of-the-road Democrat who actually believes in our Constitution #😢
Within four years time m, Donald Trump, a conman from reality television has brought American democracy to the brink. 126 GOP members of Congress have turned their backs on the idea the people elect the President. We are one election away from losing the American experiment.

Trump claimed he was unavailable to sit for his deposition in his $10 Billion lawsuit against the BBC due to "matters of national importance" and presidential duties. Another lie. If you have time for this… you have time to sit for your deposition.

KEEP AN EYE ON THE SOUTH, Y’ALL‼️ Black voter turnout in Louisiana is SURGING! Just one week into early voting, Black voters have already cast more ballots than they did during the ENTIRE early voting period in 2022. While early voting among White voters is flat. I hope the Democratic Party is paying attention because the South deserves sustained investment, not just election-season panic. The South needs to be part of the conversation about the path to 2028.

Actually it is about a cord of wood. Right now, because of the economy Susan Collins and Donald Trump have created people can’t afford to heat their homes. And yeah, I do know how much a cord of wood is and how to use it. I find it so ironic that this is what she chose to use. It’s time to have a working class person in the U.S. Senate.

This is highly offensive and political malpractice! Republican Daniel Wong, running for Fort Bend County Judge in Texas, had an AI-generated video posted on his campaign’s social media featuring Black residents supposedly endorsing him. These fake testimonials were about Wong giving them jobs, food, and paying their electric bills. The video was pulled after backlash. And his campaign claims a Democrat created it. His Democratic opponent, Dexter McCoy, is calling for a criminal investigation.

Obama was a president of and for the people. Has Trump ever served food at a homeless shelter or community center? Has he ever offered comfort to people who have lost everything in a natural disaster? Has he ever taken a walk outside (other than from his golf cart to the green!)?

Mike Rogers is running the most racist campaign in the country and will be a vote to fund Trump’s internment camps. Supporting him in the name of concerns about bigotry is ludicrous.

Retired Russian General Leonid Ivashov has delivered a devastating assessment of Vladimir Putin’s leadership, Russia’s war against Ukraine, and the deteriorating condition of the Russian state. Ivashov is no ordinary Kremlin critic. He is a retired general, professor, and geopolitical analyst with decades of experience in Russia’s military establishment. He publicly opposed the invasion of Ukraine before it began, warning that the consequences could be catastrophic for Russia itself. Now, nearly four years into the full-scale war, Ivashov argues that his worst predictions have come true. After watching Putin’s lengthy televised appearance, he described a president increasingly detached from the reality experienced by ordinary Russians. “I saw neither a leader, nor a commander, nor a defender of the people. I saw only a man living in a fairy tale, while the rest of the country is trying to survive on 16,000 rubles a month.” His assessment of the war was equally severe. According to Ivashov, Russia has failed to achieve meaningful military success while suffering strategic defeats that extend far beyond the battlefield. He described an economy under growing pressure, industries in decline, a collapsing education system, and scientific institutions struggling to survive. Healthcare, he warned, is deteriorating as regional governments reduce medical spending. Rising prices are steadily impoverishing ordinary Russians, while declining food quality adds another burden to households already struggling to make ends meet. But perhaps his darkest warning concerns Russia’s demographic future. Ivashov portrayed Russia as a country experiencing a profound population crisis, with the war accelerating the loss of working-age men and worsening an already dangerous demographic trajectory. He was equally dismissive of the Kremlin’s claims about Russia’s international partnerships. North Korea and Belarus, he argued, cannot provide the economic or strategic support Russia needs. And China, despite Moscow’s constant declarations of friendship, should not be mistaken for a genuine military or political ally. Having worked with Chinese officials for many years, Ivashov rejected the Kremlin’s portrayal of Beijing as a dependable strategic partner. His ultimate warning was stark: a strategic defeat in Ukraine could threaten not merely Putin’s political future but the territorial and institutional integrity of the Russian Federation itself. What makes these remarks particularly significant is their source. Ivashov is not a Western politician, a Ukrainian official, or an opposition activist speaking from exile. He comes from the Russian military establishment and opposed the invasion before the first Russian tanks crossed Ukraine’s borders. His conclusions are sweeping and controversial, and the specific quotations attributed to him require verification against the original interview. Nevertheless, his longstanding opposition to the invasion illustrates something the Kremlin has repeatedly tried to obscure: criticism of this war has also emerged from within Russia’s own military circles. The central question is no longer simply what Putin hopes to achieve in Ukraine. It is how much more Russia will sacrifice in pursuit of those ambitions.

Trump is so fucking insecure that a Cheesecake Factory joke becomes a Cabinet-level emergency.
Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

BREAKING: WOAH! Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski ENDORSES A DEMOCRAT for Alaska governor, and Trump is having a MAJOR MELTDOWN. Donald Trump has become so toxic to the members of his own party that his fear and intimidation tactics are no longer preventing Republicans from openly defying him, as the latest party-bucking move from Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski so clearly demonstrates. Donald Trump called Murkowski “The Republicans’ Worst Senator, by far.” She responded to his insulting harassment by backing a Democrat to run her state. Murkowski endorsed Democrat TRUMP KRIESS TOMPKINS MURKOWSKI on Tuesday to succeed term-limited Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy, a longtime Trump ally whom Trump endorsed three times. Kreiss-Tomkins, 37, is leading in the polls against Trump-endorsed Republican Bernadette Wilson. If he wins, he’d be Alaska’s first Democratic governor since 1988. Murkowski didn’t hold back. “JKT is a young Alaskan with a view and a perspective that I think Alaska needs right now,” she told Alaska News Source, praising his “freshness of energy” as “a common-sense guy.” She also took a swing at the outgoing Republican administration: “I have found fault with the Dunleavy administration. I think that they have left federal money on the table.” “Alaskans are seeking change. They don’t like the status quo,” she said. “I think it’s been a hard eight years,” adding, “our future is too important to be hamstrung by partisan divisions.” And she wasn’t alone. Her father, Frank Murkowski, a former Republican senator and governor of Alaska, endorsed the Democrat too. Trump, naturally, went nuclear on Truth Social. “Lisa Murkowski is a DISGRACE to Alaska and our Country. You just don’t get any worse!” he raged. “I hope the Great People of Alaska understand what is happening.” What’s happening is that Trump’s Justice Department just sued Alaska over an independent Senate candidate who happens to share a name with Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan, seeking to invalidate the election results if Democrat Mary Peltola wins. Murkowski, who is backing Sullivan in that race, still called out the stunt: “The Department of Justice should never have filed this lawsuit.” This is the same senator who voted to convict Trump over his attempt to overturn the 2020 election, slammed his bid to grab Greenland, and criticized his ballroom boondoggle. She also admitted last year that “we are all afraid” of retaliation for criticizing the president. “Retaliation is real,” she said. “And that’s not right.” Afraid or not, she keeps defying the retaliator-in-chief. That’s more than you can say for nearly every other Republican in the Senate. Kreiss-Tomkins said he admires Murkowski for working across the aisle and hopes to “live up to” it as governor. When a Republican senator and a former Republican governor both decide a Democrat is Alaska’s best bet, maybe the problem isn’t Murkowski. Maybe it’s the party Trump built. Please like and share to commend Senator Murkowski for her brave decision!
