The @UNHumanRights office has updated its @UN_HRC-mandated database of business enterprises tied to Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. It now names 214 companies, 61 new since last year's update. The database flags companies for ordinary commercial activity, real estate listings, hotel and travel bookings, food and transport services, that any business operating lawfully in the region might perform.
Six public US companies made this year's list, including Airbnb, Booking Holdings, Expedia, Motorola Solutions, RE/MAX and TripAdvisor. @JLensNetwork and ADL have said this database is not neutral human rights work, it is a target list.
This update lands as European governments move to codify trade restrictions against Israel into law, from Ireland's new import ban to proposals in Brussels and Oslo. It will be cited to justify more of the same.
In addition to the new JLens Workplace Tracker, ADL affiliate @jlensnetwork just published the JLens Workplace Guide: Practices that Support Jewish Employees at Work.
This guide covers 7 practices with steps for getting started and examples from companies that have adopted it.

NEW: ADL and @jlensnetwork examined the potential impact of BDS-aligned investment restrictions on NYC's pension funds and here's what we found:
Divesting from Israel could put NYC taxpayers at risk for more than $37 billion over a decade.
Read the report to learn how calls for Israel divestment are not only morally misguided, but also financially unwise. adl.org/resources/report/nyc…
A widely shared post alleges that an Israeli customer of @aloyoga received antisemitic notes in her shipment, including "Death to the IDF" and "Hamas will win." If accurate, this is antisemitic harassment of a consumer because of who she is. ADL affiliate @JLensNetwork, which engages public companies on antisemitism and hate, has contacted Alo's leadership directly.

With @jlensnetwork, we’ve reached out to the leadership at @GWR and the parent company, Jim Pattison Group, to express our serious concern and gather clarification about this double standard. We believe a quick course correction is warranted. timesofisrael.com/liveblog_e…
