On 27th–28th July 2026, @JV_Institute held a policy dialogue in Kismayo with civil society, research institutions, and policy experts to discuss Somalia’s political transition, elections, federal-state relations, and security dynamics. Today in Kismayo, the @JV_Institute convened the High-Level National Policy Dialogue on Somalia’s political transition. The dialogue brings together civil society representatives, policy experts, academics and governance practitioners to reflect on how Somalia can strengthen inclusive political engagement, institutional confidence and peaceful decision-making.
