The idea that critics are beholden to some universal "embargo," even if they do not go to a preview screening where they agree to hold their review until a given time, is completely insane and antithetical to journalism. It turns critics into PR props for the studio.

You have to be a special kind of stupid to think that a film critic can't critique a film he saw at a public screening he PAID to attend. If DC didn't want pre-embargo reviews then don't release the fucking movie to the public before press screenings and the embargo lift.
