Music is the Key and Treasure Island Beach is about to hit all the right notes!
Sanding Ovations, presented by @VisitSPC, returns Nov. 19 to 22 with massive sand sculptures inspired by the songs you love, spanning classic rock, country, jazz, and pop. Add live music, food, vendors, a kite festival, and fireworks, and you’ve got the beach party of the year.
Kick things off with a Silent Dance Party under the stars on Nov. 19, then come back for our All-American Encore Weekend, Nov. 27 to 29, with college football watch parties right on the sand.
Best part? It’s free!

This week, Treasure Island Fire Rescue joined fellow fire departments across Tampa Bay for Live Fire Training to hone their firefighting skills. 🔥
Live fire training places firefighters in real, controlled fires within a safe training environment. Crews practice advancing hose lines, search and rescue, ventilation and fire attack, all while working through the heat, smoke and low visibility of an actual fire.
*Thank you to Clearwater Fire and Rescue for providing video of the training*
Thank you, @RaysBaseball
At the start of this season, the odds gave the Rays a 1% chance of reaching the World Series. This team didn’t listen to the naysayers and fought hard all season.
I moved to Tampa Bay in 2008, the same year this franchise made its first World Series run, and I have been a fan ever since. Over those years, I have watched this team overcome more than any fan base should have to endure: ownership decisions that left us scratching our heads, more than a decade of stadium talks that went nowhere, threats that the team would leave town, and Hurricane Milton tearing the roof off the Trop, leaving them without a home for a full season.
Through it all, the players kept showing up and playing with heart and a genuine love of the game. That is what makes this team so easy to love.
This year’s team was special. Every night felt like it could be the night something incredible happened, and so often, it was. Watching them prove many talking heads wrong, game after game, was exciting.
It just was not the Rays’ year. A damn good Brewers team earned it, and congratulations to them.
To the players, coaches and staff: thank you for a season this community will not forget, and for reminding all of us why we never stop believing in this team.
I will be there next spring. #RaysUp
3 to go! Believing this @raysbaseball team I have watched all year has it in them to get it done! BELIEVE! LET’S GO RAYS!

As the Public Information Officer for Treasure Island Fire Rescue and the Treasure Island Police Department, I am blessed to work alongside and represent two fine departments. They may be small, but they are mighty, and every day they exemplify what service to the community truly means.
Happy National First Responders Day to the men and women of TIFR and TIPD, and to all first responders. Thank you for everything you do.
Today is National First Responders Day, and the City of Treasure Island would like to give a heartfelt thank-you to the men and women of Treasure Island Fire Rescue and the Treasure Island Police Department.
Every day, our firefighters, paramedics, police officers, and support staff answer calls from residents and visitors. They are there for emergencies big and small, in the middle of the night, on holidays, and through every storm season, often during people's most difficult moments.
They’re also a daily presence in the community by checking on neighbors, keeping our beaches safe, connecting with residents and visitors, and serving as a familiar face.
To TIFR and TIPD, thank you for your courage, your compassion and your commitment to keeping Treasure Island safe.
Thank you as well to the families who support them. Your sacrifice makes their service possible.
For those who don’t follow @RaysBaseball, you'll often see former players come back to watch and cheer on the Rays, even while they’re playing for other teams.
The Rays are a tight-knit organization that means a lot to so many people. Many of these great players were coached and developed here, and they still have love for the team that helped shape their careers. Showing up to support their old teammates is a reflection of that bond.
It doesn’t hurt one bit. If anything, it says a lot about the culture the Rays have built.
Good morning Rays fans! Rays 3 wins away from winning the #WorldSeries GO RAYS!

Nick Martinez on the #Rays comeback, walk-off win in Game 4 of the #WorldSeries
“Gritty. Gritty. We’re dangerous. We have our backs against the wall…we know what we have to do. We can win four in a row. This team is capable of doing that.”
BEEN SAYING IT ALL WEEK! GOT TO CONTINUE TO BELIEVE IN THIS TEAM! THEY NEVER GIVE UP! THEY CAN STILL WIN THIS #WorldSeries
LET’S GO RAYS!!

I get trusting in your players but Seymour hasn’t done anything this whole postseason, and has cost the Rays dearly. Why he was put on the mound in extra innings, I will never understand. #RaysUp
Come on bats! You have got to wake up. Good grief. Bullpen is doing their job and it’s time offense did theirs. COME ON! #RaysUp
Top of the batting order continues to struggle. 😡 But Rays are holding on. Hope the bullpen holds up! LFG! #RaysUp
