The airline has confirmed that the information circulating followed a webpage update made in error and that there are currently no confirmed changes to its network. This relates to the previously reported increases to Atlanta, New York JFK and Orlando, as well as the Manchester–Las Vegas service ending. WIZZ AIR PASSENGER NUMBERS UP 19.8% Wizz Air carried 7.62 million passengers in October 2026, an increase of 19.8% compared with the same month last year. Capacity also rose by 22.1%, with the airline reporting a 91.2% load factor. The figures come as Wizz Air expands its London Luton network, launching three new year-round routes to Málaga, Granada and Asturias during October. #WizzAir #AviationNews

🚨New Cargo Route| East Midlands Airport welcomed yet another new cargo airline for its first arrival as a new connection with China is established. Central China Longhao Airlines’ first Boeing 747-400 freighter touched down at East Midlands yesterday (November 2) from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. The cargo airline is starting twice-weekly flights on the route, adding to the growing list of cargo operators choosing East Midlands as their gateway to the UK market. 📷 East Midlands Airport

✈️ Jersey Airport faced two consecutive evenings of disruption after reports of unauthorised drone activity near the airport on 30 and 31 October. The incidents affected multiple arriving flights, with aircraft diverted or unable to land as scheduled. The disruption also had a wider impact on the island, with nine planned medical procedures cancelled and a non-emergency air ambulance transfer aborted. In response, specialist drone-detection equipment has now arrived in Jersey to strengthen the island’s ability to identify and respond to further activity. Pakistan International Airlines is to launch flights from Karachi to London Heathrow from March 2027. This will be their third route to London (after Islamabad and Lahore) and sixth to the UK. More information to be shared when the schedules are released.

🚨 More than 15 flights across Europe have been affected by a fresh wave of bomb threats today, triggering diversions, emergency landings and security searches. An Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome was diverted to a French military airbase, while several Ryanair services were also disrupted. ⚠️ A yellow fog warning has been issued for parts of England overnight into Sunday morning. The Met Office warns visibility could fall below 50 metres in places, with possible delays or cancellations to flights between midnight and 10am on Sunday. Passengers are advised to check with their airline before travelling.

⚠️ Disruption at Manchester Airport (MAN). Arrivals are being regulated due to low visibility, with moderate delays affecting operations. 🚨Update: Operations have now resumed at Manchester, with aircraft moving once again, potentially meaning some form of technical fault was responsible for the disruption; however, we will bring you more information when we get the latest updates. In total, we counted 13 diverts from MAN, with LBA,NCL,EMA and BHX all seeing diverted aircraft. Disruption, however, is expected to continue into the night due to the challenging weather conditions caused by the fog.
