Vitalik at Devcon 8: we need better decentralized social. Users should own their identity, choose their communities, leave them, or build their own. Shared data layer, not one engagement-optimized feed controlled by bots or a single company. @LUKSO_io already built exactly that outside the Ethereum social experiments. @ERC725Account Profiles are native smart accounts with portable identity (LSP3), a standardized follower graph (LSP26), and granular permissions baked into the account itself. Any app can read the same profile and graph. No separate protocol required. @LC and @farcaster_xyz pivoted away from pure social-first after years of limited traction. UPs treat identity and social as the account standard. It’s small cap and multi-chain isn’t fully live yet, which is probably why @VitalikButerin didn’t name it. Once the bridge and multi-chain UPs are live, the same profile works on @ethereum and every EVM. The thing he described already exists. It’s just not on the main stage yet. There is not a single bot shilling $LYX on X , despite the fact that you might think we are bots, behind every ticker or comment is a real hard core community member "shilling" this coin because the tech is best in the game we know that is a fact because we use it!!!!!!!! $LYX @feindura did it!
