Two months before 50 Cent's child support for his oldest son ran out, he walked into a jewelry store and found his son at the counter. He was trading two small diamond chains for a bigger one. "With the money I'm mailing." In the video below, 50 Cent tells it himself, in 2020. His son Marquise was 23. "It's not a baby no more, it's a grown man." For years 50 blamed the boy's mother. "But it's not his mother, it's him." He says his son now poses for photos with the people 50 is at war with. His explanation is about money. "When you pray for success, you don't necessarily pray for the things that come with it." Entitlement growing in someone you love, he says, is the scariest part. "So while being a privileged child, he feels deprived." Then the question he keeps asking himself: "How long can you love something that don't love you back?" On an Instagram Live in 2022 he said a father who isn't there "physically and emotionally" still owes him: "I should not want for anything."
