Another reason I'm against excessive immigration because if every place is diverse, no place is unique. You actually lose diversity in the world.

My analysis: The West is dying and everyone is unhappy, and they will be dissatisfied with whoever is in power. This is not going to change soon because the root cause is demographics, and no politician can fix that

The White underclass is a miracle, and probably why the West has succeeded. Thomas Frank wrote “What’s the Matter with Kansas” to explore why poor Whites don’t vote for socialist policies that would (narrowly, in the short-term) benefit them. Of course he concluded it was about racism, as he was predetermined to do by his ideology. But I actually think he highlighted an incredibly important fact: poor White Americans, uniquely among underclasses globally, don’t vote for socialism. The typical dynamic is rich people trying to keep what they have and poor people trying to take it. But the American lower-class White does not behave this way, because he has a deontological aversion to government interference. The collection of attitudes and beliefs described as “rugged individualism” are often assessed in terms of how they impact the individual, but I think it’s much more important to consider how they impact a nation. (White) America has the world’s least resentful or grasping underclass. This is a treasure. They should be preserved and rewarded. Many might be net-negative fiscally in a narrow sense, but they are hugely net-positive if you consider their votes. Trump famously said “I love the poorly educated.” He was right to say this. Every nation has an elite. No other nation has such a high quality of virtuous common people.

Cato should show off these crosstabs. It probably doesn’t align with its open borders agenda.

Immigration debate will go nowhere until we all come to terms with the fact that massive differences in living standards across the globe are not entirely random or in every case the result of an imposition or injustice, but are the results of varying levels of effort and ability
immigration debate will go nowhere until we all come to terms it is deeply inhumane to have such massive differences in living standards across the globe and expect people to just accept that

You’re continued gaslighting doesn’t change the fact that Barrett is a disappointment. She’s clearly not as conservative as Gorsuch or Kavanaugh.

One of the hallmarks of communism is the exaltation of ugliness. Contrast our gorgeous Depression-era LA architecture with the commie brutalist slop vomited upon us today. I'll support any candidate who vows to throw this architect in prison for crimes against beauty.

CATO Institute, of all organizations put together some data tracking Trump's immigration efforts. To their horror and our delight, they found that Trump has taken a blow torch to legal immigration. >Asylum seekers entering legally fell 99.9% >Refugees entering legally from abroad fell by ~ 90% >Immigrant visas for permanent residents fell by 50% >Trump's $100k fee has likely cut H-1B visas by 25%

A multicultural liberal society can only work for a very brief moment in time, while there’s still a deeper underlying unity that exists from a dominant majority culture that supplies the necessary social cohesion for this liberal utopia to thrive. But liberalism steadily uses up that cohesion while pretending it doesn’t need it. It lives off the pre-liberal social capital of a family structure, national identity, shared religion, and common conceptions of civic duty until it eventually dissolves all of those those things in the name of trying to build the fully autonomous self-actualized universal gender fluid floating bundle of rights that we once called “man” but can no longer assign a gender specific name to because that’s not sufficiently pluralistic. Liberalism dissolves the very world that sustains it, and it replaces that world with a fractured and atomized one that becomes too weak for abstract rights and neutral procedures to hold it together for long. The last thing liberalism dissolves is itself.

Actually, Greek Americans are so indistinguishable from the mass of White America that nobody even knows they’re Greek, which proves the opposite point you’re trying to make. Tina Fey, Jennifer Aniston. Hardly anyone knows they’re Greek or cares. They’re just seen as white women.
How dare Christopher Nolan offend Greece by casting a black woman in his film as a Greek. He must apologize immediately to the one Greek person Americans can even name: a black basketball player in Milwaukee.

If you asked a liberal what better plan they have for us to round up and deport all illegal aliens they won’t give you one because that’s the very thing they’re upset over. It’s not the application of how ICE is conducting its job. Hell, it’s not even the shootings. All that is just window dressing. It’s the principle of borders and nations itself that they have such an enormous problem with, to the point where a portion of them are willing to engage in street violence and even throw their own lives away in a quest to literally abolish these things. What these people are truly outraged about is the idea that they will not, in fact, get to keep their millions of illegals that they cynically invited into our country, and they won’t be able to use this electoral cheat code they thought they had on lock.

In the last 12 months, there have only been 170 confirmed instances in which an American citizen was temporarily, improperly detained by ICE. In that same timeframe, there have been approximately 622,000 forced deporations. This puts ICE’s improper, temporary detention rate at 0.027%. In other words, ICE has a 99.973% success rate.
Rogan: "You don't want militarized people in the streets just roaming around, snatching up people — many of which turn out to be U.S. citizens that just don't have their papers on them. Are we really gonna be the Gestapo, 'Where's your papers?' Is that what we've come to?"

This is preposterous. First of all, she's not waving the officers through and has no right to do so even if she were. She is waving another car through, before the officers approach her car. Second, the officers are not randomly searching her, they are approaching her vehicle because she is violating the law: namely, she is obstructing a lawful enforcement operation. You're not allowed to walk up to or drive up to people who are enforcing the law to make it harder for them to do their jobs. Third, this defense attorney is drawing a meaningless distinction between an ICE officer and a "real police officer." Again, you're not allowed to interrupt a lawful enforcement operation, which is exactly what this woman was doing. Fourth, the officer didn't discharge his weapon to prevent her from fleeing. When he discharged his weapon, she had pointed the vehicle at him and pressed the gas. He discharged his weapon in self defense, and other angles of the video show the woman *clearly* hit the officer with her car while accelerating. The gaslighting is off the charts and I'm having none of it. This guy was doing his job. She tried to stop him from doing his job. When he approached her car, she tried to hit him. A tragedy? Absolutely. But a tragedy that falls on this woman and all of the radicals who teach people that immigration is the one type of law that rioters are allowed to interfere with.
I'm a former defense attorney and currently a civil liberties attorney with no political dog in this fight. I watched the video at least 10 times from different angles and at different speeds and waited to offer an opinion, which I still reserve the right to change if additional information changes the calculus. It is very clear that the officers instigated the confrontation. The woman initially tried to wave them past her. ICE officers have no authority to search a US citizen or arrest her (unless there's probable cause to believe she's harboring undocumented individuals, not a contention here). A woman surrounded by masked, armed men who have no law enforcement authority over her has every right to try to escape. Video shows her steering wheel is turned to the right, clearly an attempt to leave WITHOUT hitting anyone and steer clear of the officer standing towards the front of her car. That officer had time to step to the side, which is where he was when he shot her. Even a real police officer would not have the right to shoot at her for trying to flee. This is well-established in the case law; deadly force may not be used simply to prevent someone from getting away. Given that the ICE officers had no law enforcement authority to begin with, AND the video footage shows she was trying to escape a perceived threat, not to kill anyone, the crime is all the more inexcusable. I'm praying for the victim's family, especially her children. I'm also praying for all the conservatives who are so unprincipled and lost they're excusing this terrible crime, and gloating over a death that will leave three young children motherless, because of the victim's politics.

No major center left party in the world is as left wing on immigration as the U.S democrats.
Chuck Schumer: “Our ultimate goal is to get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many undocumented there are here." I'ts right out in the open.

What are you even talking about? In a purely socialist system high-end shoes made by private companies wouldn’t exist. The fact that even socialists prefer capitalism for themselves is a longstanding argument against the viability of socialism.

People need reflection. I regret not having more time with you. Your undeniable beauty and talent were not of this world, and a presence not of this world needs protection in a world that covets light and the anointing of God. You sir, moved us, stirred us, inspired and even intimidated others to action with your genius. Thank you for being a beacon of light to a generation and beyond who had no remembrance of the legacy that preceded us. Thank you for charting the course and for making space during a time when no similar space really existed. You imaged a unity of strength and sensitivity in Black manhood to a generation that only saw itself as having to be one or the other. It is my earnest prayer that you are in peace, far away from selfishness, fear and/or controlling interests. Far from possessiveness, far from greed, far from manipulation, far from exploitation, far from intentionally designed chaos and that you Brother are in peace, in bliss and in eternal light and fulfillment with our Father in heaven. I Love you and I miss you. May God grant peace and shelter to your family, true friends and genuine appreciators, Brother, King.
