I gotta tell ya, being a trader for years and watching the $AMC chart unfold in real-time has been very uncomfortable. Between the no-halts to the downside (and every halt possible to the upside), heavy inflows as price continues to tank, insane FTDs, spoofing, short-and-distort campaigns, bid pulls and large ITM put suppression, I can safely say (IN MY PERSONAL OPINION) that it is the most manipulated stock I’ve ever seen. They’re doing everything in their power to keep the company from raising needed capital — I’ve been doing my best to keep an eye on the tape this last week while getting my trades done and I assure you that the price action does not reflect the tape. This is the stock of the worlds largest movie theatre chain that just had record breaking numbers by the way. Other guys on FinTwit don’t get it; I get it. For these guys whose target audience is retail investors, it’s shameful and gross to see them bashing the most retail-held stock on the market amidst what is clearly (can’t believe I’m saying this) a crime scene. Shows how little they know about the underworkings of the street. Can’t say for certain as I need to see price action develop in September but I think this stock turns around soon — feels like things are finally coming to a head within the next 6 months or so. I’m with you.
