3 days after Traoré is all over the news for breaking off diplomatic relations with France, which gets a good reception, some obscure christian zionist Twitter handle puts out a bullshit tweet portraying a routine change of an accredited Israeli ambassador (based in Cote d'Ivoire) as "Traoré developing closer ties with Israel" and you bunch supposedly "anti-imperialist" dumbasses fall for the headfake instantly without making any attempt to even understand what you are looking at.
And this is precisely why I have zero interest in any kind of western leftism. Your racist, 1-dimensional, brainless, uncritical imperial reflexes are stronger than your supposed ideology. Your own governments are all actively helping Israel murder Gazans and massacre Iranian schoolgirls, and you can't do anything about that.
But you can always pass your dumb, reactive judgements on an African who is actually leading a successful anti-imperialist project, without giving him the 30 seconds of grace it would have taken you to Google Burkina Faso's relationship with Israel and realise that there is no Israeli ambassador to Burkina Faso, there has always been an Israeli ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire who is accredited to Burkina Faso and Togo, and it is ordinary diplomatic process for every new ambassador to officially present himself to all 3 heads of state.

Since 2002, the International Criminal Court has prosecuted 33 cases. 32 out of those 33 have been African. Apparently no crime worthy of ICC prosecution has been committed anywhere on earth except in Africa for the past 24 years.
Now they are making noises about prosecuting the Tanzanian government for last year’s election-related violence (but not the actual instigators and culprits). This was the sort of ludicrously one-eyed decision that made Burundi, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger leave that institution, and like the rest of the continent, Tanzania will have to make a choice soon.
We will either remain voluntarily trapped within institutions built to cage and target us, or walk away and build our own fit-for-purpose institutions.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

ICE did it again - released a detainee far from her home without notifying her family.
Three days after having an ankle monitor put on by ICE, 31 year old Daphy Michel was found unresponsive at a bus station. She died later that day.
Daphy was seeking asylum in the US. Her brother lives in the US and has TPS status.
She had a hearing scheduled for April on her immigration case.
Her brother was waiting to hear when she would be released so he could bring her home.
ICE hasn’t answered questions from Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 about when Daphy arrived at the ERO Pittsburgh office, when she received the ankle monitor, how long she was in custody, and where & when she was released.
Haitian immigrant last seen in ICE custody—found dead on the street 3 days later.
Agents drove her 1 hour away from home for processing—then released without notifying her family.
Her body was found near a bus stop.
Police say she had "significant mental health episode" that landed her in county jail.
But ICE picked her up after judge dismissed all charges and drove her 1 hour away to Pittsburgh.
"Told her brother charges were dismissed on Thursday. She doesn't come out on Friday. He gets a call on Monday that she's dead," lawyer explained.
"It seems perfectly reasonable if you're going to take someone all the way up here and that far out of their element—you could just as easily have driven them back."
Daphy Michel, only 31 years old, was living and working in Penny under Temporary Protected Status as a Haitian refugee.
