I’m good on the definition but you may need a refresher? Neither Peltola nor Cooper are incumbents. And Peltola had around $40M spent against her this cycle. ~$50M against Cooper. I hope El-Sayed wins and I think he will. $35M from Schumer’s PAC and the assists from Kamala and Obama definitely improves our odds! But Yglesias is just correct about progressive candidates performing worse in competitive races. I just wish the left flank was honest about that fact and didn’t reflexively come up with a million different excuses for it *every single time* (or demean themselves with silly ad homs 🙃).

Hey Steve Hilton, did you pay this anti immigration MAGA influencer 46k+ to spread hate about immigrants or just for the undisclosed paid political content? The irony? Her father was an Indian immigrant from Uganda.

A lot of people..A LOT OF PEOPLE are holding their noses to support Abdul. He’s an awful candidate, he’s not really that good of a person, and his family does have some questionable ties to certain groups. So back off, Haley and others are doing the best they can.
I don't get the thinking behind mealy-mouthed answers like this. Seems like you just annoy everyone.

The online left should be grateful Dems aren't talking about "hurt people hurt people." We get accused of trying to tank him, while simultaneously not making a big deal about something that frankly should be a much bigger deal. We're making compromises for him. It's not great.

If you're a serious person trying to be involved in politics, never let Cenk Uygur anywhere near your campaign, your organization, your production room, or anything else. He's just a clown who tries to insert antisemitic conspiracy theorist nonsense into everything he touches.
New @RebellionPac ad dropping in Michigan. We have to suffer here at home, so Israel can get all its wars. That’s why they buy politicians like Mike Rogers. He promised to serve Israel “unconditionally,” but never made that promise to you.

Why are you calling El-Sayed's formal female opponent--who has endorsed him--"mealy-mouthed" and "[annoying]" ten days before an election? Do you want Stevens' supporters to be reminded of all the sexism? Get it together if you want him to win.

That ad was paid for by Rebellion PAC, which was formed to support Cenk's presidential run.

In a surprise to no one, Cenk has been recycling antisemitic ads for years now
Did you say this was a NEW ad, @cenkuygur? Because I remember this antisemitic garbage during your failed unconstitutional Presidential bid.

Every red state Democrat should speak about trans issues the way Adam Hamilton does here. I’d be proud of Kansas if they sent an upstanding man like himself to the Senate.
#KansasSenate Adam Hamilton on transgender rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself.” “I’m gonna love the trans person as well as the straight person, male or female. We have to do better than picking on small groups. What’s happened is we’ve turned a group of people into a campaign issue because it polls well.”

Listen to my friend Sam Jackson: vote! This is a critical election. While I was doing the work cleaning up encampments, Nithya Raman wasn't even showing up to work. Make your voice heard, mail in your ballot or drop it off at a voting location.

Haley Stevens endorsed El-Sayed. Even after he said she couldn't string four sentences together. Even after his supporters threatened her & shut down her events. Even after his supporters mocked her appearance for weeks. They called her a "golem." But she endorsed him. Lay off.
Ridiculous. For all the folks still pretending El-Sayed’s race is the same as Cooper’s or Peltola’s, do they have former Dem rivals refusing to fully endorse them on national TV? ‘Blue no matter who’ was a hypocritical centrist lie and this hypocrisy may hurt Dems in 2028.

Thank you Leia. I talk about these issues not bc I’m seeking attention or comfort (I no longer need it), but bc people who learn about them from me can, I hope, help change them for the former foster kids facing them now. I’m trying to recruit allies for these kids:

In a sense, college becomes an evasion course for students entering from foster care. How do you submit parents’ financial disclosure forms with non-compliant, perhaps abusive parents, in order to qualify for financial aid? Where do you live, if homeless, during semester break?🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you. Studies show it’s the biggest reason so many girls in foster care don’t manage to escape a life of poverty and dependency. Less than 1% of girls who come out of foster care manage to graduate from a four-year college, no matter how bright.

I’m so sorry that happened. I can imagine how difficult, exhausting, frightening and disheartening it is for teenage and young girls in vulnerable positions to have to fend off that aggression.

I went into foster care due to molestation, & although I managed to evade rape during foster care, the constant overtures from rapey men who seized on my vulnerability was unrelenting. That’s the way the world works for vulnerable teenage girls. Fending men off. Fending men off.
I don't subscribe to the idea that women always have life on easy mode. Imagine being a tiny pretty female and the whole planet full of giant, often obsessive, often creepy, often rapey men are around you playing the "can I penetrate you" game 24/7. Can you see where that easily turn horrifying very fast? When I lived out on the streets and was selling/addicted to drugs, a scenario I watched unfold many times was >Halfway decent looking woman unfortunately homeless and addicted to drugs >Man offers her "place to stay" , acts like he's doing it out of the kindess in his heart >She takes offer, man tries to fuck her >When man finds out she's not going to give him any pussy, throws her back out on the streets, turns nasty and hateful and takes back all the kindness and things he gave her Many such cases with different variations, offering her drugs for pussy, a ride for pussy, pussy pussy pussy, it always comes down to pussy. And women get exhausted by this, and some men are so doggedly determined to get some pussy that it turns into rape. There's a lot of good men who women destroy, both of us have our crosses to bear and our bad behavior patterns. Like, being lonely sucks, not having access to affection and love and not being touched for years sucks. But the opposite sucks too, invasion of privacy, constant bombardment Psychotic ex boyfriends who won't leave her alone and she's physically incapable of fighting giant men off And don't even mention the shit that many many women go through when they're just children. A horrifyingly common story amongst women. Pregnancy, the fact that her window is so short, etc etc Women suffer incredibly, too. And through suffering comes wisdom. So this "women should shut up because they know nothing of suffering and how the world really works" sentiment is just wrong. A lot of them knew how nasty the world was before we men ever knew suffering. It's not even a coming from a simp perspective; I'm an anon account . What woman am I trying to impress and get pussy from by agreeing with her on here? It's just putting yourself in other people's shoes .
