BREAKING: The FTC just banned non-compete agreements, per MorePerfectUnion.
The Federal Trade Commission has issued a final rule making it illegal for bosses to make workers sign noncompetes in any scenario, and voiding nearly all existing noncompetes.

Satellite images offer insight into a storm's intensity. #Landsat 8 passed over Hurricane Ian’s eye as it approached southwest Florida.
The eye of a hurricane is a circular zone of fair weather at the storm’s center, surrounded by an eyewall of the strongest winds.

ALT Satellite Image of Hurricane Ian. White and light grey clouds dominate the image except for a bright blue patch at the Hurricane’s eye, where the clouds separate enough for the ocean below to show through. An outline of Florida’s southwest coast is overlaid on the left, noting the location of the major cities Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Sanibel Island.
5 years ago today! SWFL braved major hurricane Irma. Collier County had the windiest weather as Irma weakened as it moved northward. Surely a day I’ll never forget! If you were in SWFL I’m sure you will never forget it either!
Where were you 17 years ago today when Hurricane Charley arrived at 3:45pm on Friday the 13th, August 2004?
4/4 I could say more but hey I’m retired and yes retirement is fantastic. So hello from me, Jean and our 3 boys!
Be safe!

3/4 Again, most neighborhoods will be ok but unfortunately a few neighborhoods may have issues from one or more of the 3 items in my list of concerns.
We’ve been through worse, a lot worse, but let’s not assume that tomorrow will be a typical July day.
2/3. I see 3 main risks tomorrow for a minority of our residents.
1. Freshwater flooding from heavy rain, possible anywhere, inland or coastal
2. Saltwater flooding from storm surge, possible coastal
3. Wind damage from isolated tornadoes, possible anywhere
1/3 Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the day Tropical Storm Elsa will be closest to SWFL. While I expect most of SWFL to experience disruptive weather at times, a smaller segment will have to deal with even more dangerous weather.
18 Tropical Storms, 8 Hurricanes, 4 Major Hurricanes are expected this season. Will that be exactly correct? No, but it’s the best guess from the source I trust the most, Dr Phil Klotzbach.
To everyone celebrating the most important day and event in the Christian calendar and life:
I wish you a happy and a blessed Easter!
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! for the hundreds of well wishes. Because there are so many, I can't thank you individually so believe me, I'm touched and I appreciate all of them.
