I have been a registered Democrat for 45 years. In the past, I voted based on my party affiliation. I no longer do so, as doing so can prevent voters from selecting the best candidate. I believe Greg Ballard is the best candidate for Secretary of State. He served exceptionally well as mayor of Indianapolis during his two terms. He is a principled, honest, and compassionate person who would always put people first, even when doing so means opposing his own party. What American politics lacks today is elected officials who prioritize the people and do what is right, even when it conflicts with their party’s position. Greg Ballard is the kind of politician American politics needs today: someone who puts people first and will not compromise on what is right. Indiana, things will never get better until we begin electing candidates who put the people ahead of the extreme political positions that characterize our politics today.
Two great choices in this years Secretary of State race. A candidate that can form a party to hold Republicans accountable for years to come. Or a candidate that is committed to ensuring we get the truth about how rotten Diego Morales actually was. I’m just sad I couldn’t split the vote. Secretary of State candidate @GregforIndiana has asked @GovBraun to compel the Indiana Election Commission to meet after a Marion County court denied his request.
The fire sale begins…
Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

In 2015, I had gathered all the signatures required to run as an independent candidate for mayor of Indianapolis. I dropped out of the race at the last moment, just before my name would have appeared on the November ballot. I learned a lot in that process. The two-party system, with its ability to raise money and party backing, makes it difficult for an independent candidate to run, compete on a level playing field, and win.

Our third ad was just released.
The Secretary of State oversees every election in Indiana and should NEVER appear to favor one candidate over another.
I’m Greg Ballard, former Republican mayor of Indianapolis, and I’m running for Secretary of State as an independent.
I’m the only one in this race who has publicly committed not to endorse, campaign for, or donate to other candidates on the ballot while I’m in office.
If you agree that the person overseeing our elections shouldn't pick sides, I’m asking for your vote on or before November 3rd.

What a line:
“It’s like every week, someone on the Colts takes a turn at not doing their job.”
Daniel Jones might singlehandedly get marijuana legalized in Indiana just so Anthony Richardson can play.
“Last time I went swimming it made national news.” @PatMcAfeeShow 😂
The man has come a long way from the drunk dunk in the canal.
Is Trump saying Max will spend his time in office focused on a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with the office?
It’s wild how if you look at the legacy party candidates messaging, the Secretary of State has become Godlike in its ability to fix everything, everywhere, all at once. 🤷♂️
Greg Ballard has had conversations with law enforcement already. He will bring them in once elected. The IG had a chance and did nothing.

As we predicted, this debate is infinitely less entertaining than the first one. Ballard really added a lot. Bad move by Fox 59 kicking him and Shillings off the stage.
"Take it down and apologize, or lose my endorsement" was the response he was looking for.
Party - 1

I have hired notable Greenwood election attorney Michelle Harter to represent me in the lawsuit seeking to require the Indiana Election Commission to meet. Harter previously served as Senior Legal Advisor to Justice Steven H. David of the Indiana Supreme Court for almost seven years, and taught at the IU McKinney School of Law school and UIndy.
Harter’s practice focuses on general civil litigation, election law, and appellate advocacy. She has been involved in multiple high-profile Indiana election cases.
I filed suit to force the Indiana Election Commission to consider four campaign finance complaints filed in the Secretary of State’s race. The Commission has not met since July despite traditionally holding a meeting each September. I am not asking for a particular outcome in those cases, only that the Commission do its job and review the complaints.
I’m delighted to have Michelle join the team. She is knowledgeable and quickly got up to speed on this case. I feel 100 percent comfortable with her arguing before the judge Friday.”
A hearing on a motion for a preliminary injunction will be held in Marion Superior Court 3 Friday at 11:30 before Judge Jennifer Prinz Harrison.
Vivek Ramaswamy is a prime example of why I refuse to ever label myself a Republican or Democrat again.
Folks will vote for the most vile human beings just to be sure the "enemy" doesn't take over the office.
The only reason either seems to dump anyone is bad polling.

While @MaxForIndiana & @BeauBayh are slinging mud at each other, one candidate has made common sense proposals to improve the Indiana SOS office: @GregforIndiana.
Do Indiana a favor. Do yourself a favor. Vote for Greg Ballard for Secretary of State. See gregballard.com.
David Shelton clearly just wants to make the office better and would probably work with anyone who asked him to help, but the knuckleheads in the Republican Party only care about blind party loyalty, not governing for the people.
Oh look. He said so himself.
Quote from Shelton:
Replying to @nkellyIN
"If the Republican candidate would commit to the same pledge, I would be happy to join him in the effort.”
