I’m glad NC State has so much attendance. So many more people get to see just how much better Duke is.

That people would not get the joke was…unexpected. I need better mutuals.

Wow if you remove half of Duke’s backcourt, they are #4 instead of #1. Who knew!
Best 6 backcourts, so far: 1A. UConn: Demary, Mullins, Landrew 1B. St. John's: Quinn Ellis, Yessoufou, Jackson 3. BYU: Rob Wright, Chandler, Branch 4. Illinois: Quentin Coleman, Ethan Brown, Stojakovic 5. Duke: Boozer, Blackwell, Sarr 6. MSU: Fears, Jasiah Jervis, Jordan Scott

We didn’t lose the election because we attacked Iran. We lost the election because you were lied to about it and you believed the lies.
Wow. Senator John Kennedy. How is this not everywhere. Seriously. This is insane. Listen to what he’s actually saying.

As I said earlier this year. xitter.gq/johnlbria/status/20929…
Iran doesn’t have to beat America’s soldiers. They just have to beat America’s people. A lot of you are Iranian casualties.

The Blaze account has seemingly deleted it.
Man, The Blaze has some issues. What a ridiculous headline. Is there no desire to be accurate anymore? Cheap clicks aren’t worth sacrificing your integrity — to the extent any remains.

I hope we all begin to see our blindspots.
Look, there is no right time to post this series I'm about to post. Before the midterms was definitely not the right time, and immediately after isn't either, but it's less wrong. So, without further ado, here we go… 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗺 (@megbasham) 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆. Does anyone need the backstory? On October 7, the Fantastic Four delivered some highly problematic speeches at NatCon Jerusalem, for which they were rightly criticized. One of the speakers was Amanda Milius (@AmandaMilius), who is friends with Megan. Over the following weeks, Megan went on an X crusade to defend, among other things, her friend's speech. In doing so, she repeatedly demanded that others adhere to moral standards that she herself failed to uphold in the slightest. 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘 𝟭: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝗢𝗽" 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲… Megan repeatedly criticized people for seeing an "op" behind every disagreement, arguing that accusing others of being part of an op simply because they hold different opinions is paranoid and conspiratorial. Yet she herself suggested that people creating divisions within the right-wing coalition ahead of the midterms were part of an "op." 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻: "I think the people who are suddenly very interested in creating massive fights within the rightwing coalition right before the midterms are the people you should suspect of being an 'op.'" [1] 𝗔𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻: “I am so sick of people who don’t know how to debate any policy or election result without calling things an “op.“ It’s the last refuge of idiots and grifters.” [2] “Yes, I’m sure Mollie and Matt and me and everyone else who is saying that he is behaving out of his mind with this stuff are ops of some fashion.” [3] “They’re not running a dialectical hegemonic op or whatever.” [4] “And they call anyone who doesn’t agree with them part of an op.” [5] “Everything ends up in an 8000 word insane rant about ops and dialectics and not just a normal discussion.” [6] “Just because people disagree does not mean its an ‘op’.” [7] “The problem is you. Not secret ops.” [8] “I have to have been bought. I have to be part of an op.” [9] “Exactly.” (Reply to: “…denouncing everyone who disagrees with them as secret Marxists or ‘woke right’ ops.”) [10]

Hard to prove a hypothetical, but I think the point is that if we hadn’t done the MOU and WON the war before the election, the numbers would have done back up.
It's simply not true that Americans' problem with the war was the MOU.

I think Biden has charisma (on days his brain was plugged in), but that may be deep-rooted, unconscious Irish sympathies coming out.
I don't really buy the argument "DeSantis doesn't have the charisma to be President" Six years ago, America elected a cardboard cutout of Joe Biden

Replying to @MaxNordau
DeSantis is a great governor. However, he is awkward socially and has no charisma. Image matters when it comes to winning presidential elections. DeSantis was in the 2024 primary and what people discussed most was his height, boots and awkwardness. It wasn't in a good way. I don't believe he can win a presidential election and he'd have a better chance if he held a different national position before running in one. If people in your own party are mocking you and not mentioning your policies much at all, your odds of winning an election are not high.

We have nothing to lose but our ball and chains
Sold a table and my husband and the husband who picked it up were joking about how women make these deals but they have to do all the actual labour. Ladies we cannot let them gain class consciousness

The Democratic Party is a function of loneliness.
Married men ID Republican by 8 pts. Unmarried women ID Democratic by 24 pts. Marital status > gender in partisanship: the marriage gap (20 pts) is bigger than the gender gap (12 pts). NB: This is 2020s GSS data for adults 25-55; we don’t yet have data on marriage from this week’s election.

There's this concept called the God Gap. Republicans are pretty religious. Democrats are less so. But here's a very important caveat. The God Gap only exists among white Americans. Huge differences in beliefs, attendance, and affiliation. Almost none among nonwhites.
