It's amusing to read that Paris looters are discovering the watches they stole from Rolex and Patek Philippe stores are worthless shop units without working movements and secondly that all the Apple phones are display technology that locked the moment they left the store.

October 23, 1983. Beirut, Lebanon.
43 years ago today at 0622, 241 American service members were killed in a terrorist attack on the Marine barracks in Beirut.
220 Marines.
18 Navy sailors.
3 Army soldiers.
That same morning, 58 French paratroopers were killed in a separate attack.
It was the deadliest single day for the United States Marine Corps since Iwo Jima.
And today, much of America is silent.
These weren’t just numbers in a casualty report. They were young Americans who raised their right hands, swore an oath, and answered their nation’s call.
They had names. They had families. They had plans for their lives. They had people waiting for them to come home.
They never got that chance.
There are memorials bearing their names. There are families who have lived 43 years with empty places at their tables. There are brothers in arms who have never stopped remembering.
But remembrance should not belong only to those who knew them.
A nation that sends its young men and women into harm’s way has an enduring responsibility to remember those who never return.
Their sacrifice should not disappear from our national consciousness simply because the years have passed, the headlines have faded, or the mission ended without victory.
We remember Iwo Jima. We remember Pearl Harbor. We remember September 11.
We must remember Beirut.
Not because of politics. Not because of how the mission began or ended.
Because 241 Americans died serving their country, and their lives deserve to be remembered.
Say their names. Tell their story. Teach the next generation what happened on October 23, 1983.
They came in peace.
They served with honor.
They must never be forgotten.
Semper Fidelis. 🇺🇸❤️

Six years ago today, Samuel Paty was beheaded outside his school.
He had taught a lesson on freedom of expression. Islamists took offence - and a teacher was butchered.
In the UK we still have a teacher in hiding. Others are too scared to speak. We must NEVER accept this.
If correct, alarming - and really ought to be picked up and run with by the English-language media.

WATCH: Britain’s ITN has released ~4 hours of previously sealed 1989 Tiananmen footage — filmed by the team that smuggled the tapes out of China.
The material, archived for ~35 years, includes a 2-hour crackdown compilation and 90 minutes of secretly filmed raw rushes from the days after, showing military trucks on Beijing streets, crowds, and the aftermath.

October 7 2023 is the most documented and intensely filmed crime of mass murder and atrocious sadism in all of human history. Those who celebrated it on that day, October 8 2023 and the following weeks shocked us all.
Today should only be a sorrowful day. Those who march today of all days in London or elsewhere are not only rejecting and mocking the most elementary decency but celebrating the killing, torture and rape of ordinary people. It is hard to think of anything more degenerate and depraved.
The decision to allow this march today is unconscionable, cowardly and despicable @metpoliceuk @ShabanaMahmood, an abuse and degradation of our values of free speech and assembly, particularly after countless demonstrations that have already taken place. I am afraid it reveals a saddening and alarming void at the moral centre of this government and police that should worry us all.

If only the UK government put as much effort into tackling grooming gangs as it does into targeting social media posts, perhaps grooming gangs wouldn’t exist.
The Government is keeping a blacklist of people who question its policies, with social media posts criticising the Government being monitored and investigated by officials. dailysceptic.org/2026/09/30/…

So.. a known Hamas operative named Mohammed Naim applied for asylum in the UK, was granted indefinite leave to remain, gained British citizenship, changed his name numerous times, proceeded to orchestrate acts of terrorism, and was then granted 100 years of anonymity. And we don't know the name of any minister, caseworker, lawyer, special unit, or tribunal judge who advanced his case, carried out vetting, or made any of these decisions. And we only know about him now because of the determination of an intrepid journalist and newspaper. Why hasn't he been stripped of his British citizenship and deported? Why are we giving sanctuary to known terrorists? Why are we protecting their identities for a century? Are we mad? This is not a conspiracy with no names, so who exactly is responsible?

There are only 3 regimes in the world right now that force women to wear hijab, ie headscarves covering their hair. (1) The Taliban in Afghanistan. (2) The Houthis in Yemen. (3) Iran’s Islamic Republic regime.
The first two also require full face covering. The latter doesn’t. 1/

The funniest Hollywood overreaction might be what happened after Batman (1989) became a hit.
Studios apparently looked at the box office and concluded, “People are desperate for obscure pulp heroes from the 1930s.”
So we got Dick Tracy (1990), The Shadow (1994) and The Phantom (1996).
I love how Hollywood can take one success and completely misread why it worked. Batman didn’t suddenly prove there was a massive untapped audience waiting for every forgotten pulp character ever created.
For a brief moment, Hollywood genuinely thought the next big cinematic universe was going to be a bunch of guys nobody had heard of since 1939.
