I was here and was shoved to the ground by border police, who then threw a stun grenade right at another activist and me while we were on the ground.
We were completely nonviolent. Border police and IDF showed up in large numbers minutes after our nonviolent action began. (1/x)
TODAY: Israeli soldiers violently dispersed a protest by Palestinians, Israelis, and internationals against the army's plan to forcibly expel over 1,000 residents of the area of Masafer Yatta in the South Hebron Hills, occupied West Bank. (@OrenZiv_)

Fascinating organizing tactic by the @scott_colom field campaign to stop knocking doors and start organizing workers who weren't being reached through traditional methods
Kinda reminds me of Bernie with the meatpackers in Iowa
This is what happens when you use trans people as a political football. Stop doing it.
It's official: in deep-blue Washington, a K-12-aged public school girl who wants to play on a sports team will now have to have her sex at birth verified "through either genetic or hormone tests or an examination of her reproductive anatomy" first 19thnews.org/2026/07/washing…

Following Paul LePage's (R) victory in ME-2 (Trump +9.1 points), that district appears set to go from the reddest district held by any D (Jared Golden), to the BLUEST seat held by any R. Crazy and illustrative of the wipeout

The only piece of data I will contribute to the Democratic Party Faction Fight is this:
In the famously conservative Rio Grande Valley, House District 41 saw the congressional Dems get 35,777 votes (Pulido, Cuellar). Both ran as conservative Democrats.
In the actual State House race, first-time progressive insurgent (who beat a conservative primary candidate), @JulioForRGV got 36,028, more than them. Got 361 fewer votes than Pulido in CD15 and 612 more votes in CD28.
Make of that what you will.

Literally nothing more American than elected officials expressing pride in their ethnic community, unless you’re also freaking out when a congressperson says “Prost” at their local Oktoberfest this is just racist
Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed gave his victory speech in Arabic last night. Rep. Ilhan Omar addressed her victory party in Somali.
And this morning, Iran's supreme leader posted that America's collapse "has accelerated."
What should we make of these acceptance speeches? @SulkinMaya

The last time Kansas elected a Democratic senator, they wouldn't have recognized the phrase "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore" because that movie hadn't yet been made.
A 10-year old boy wrote Virginia Foxx a letter as part of a school project. He had to write a persuasive essay and he chose tax credits for electric vehicles. The congresswoman responded by ripping him & his teacher.
Last night, voters retired Rep. Foxx.

I’m proud of the race we ran. We helped drive turnout and broke the super majority in the state house and senate. 2028 is around the corner. LFG!
