Don't overvalue intense individual training sessions, but undervalue the cumulative impact of consistently showing up for years. Give me a consistent athlete with a long history of 7/10 intensity days over one that flashes some 9 and 10 displays, but often disappears for weeks.

An awesome opportunity to highlight a few of our clients at the 1080 Summit in Austin 🔟 10-year clients, a decade of excellence -These 3 actually all gave presentations and in sharing their backstory of getting into 1080 over a decade ago there was a common theme: knowing there was some truth in this new technology, not having all the answers, but taking a chance and learning through the process. Thank you for taking that chance! @MattPrice_HP @PrentissHockey Jan Seiler 3️⃣ A special shoutout for a few clients that make it happen both in their daily practice and as part of the 1080 community attending most of our events. It's been a pleasure getting to connect in-person literally coast to coast @Jordan_Cook23 Karen Bagnardi, Trevor Bartoli There are many more individuals who make 1080 what it is, but we’re excited to share these ones today 👊

I’m telling you… QT grafts are going to go away and be replaced with PTG again. They are so difficult and unpredictable to rehab! I get daily DM‘s from people all over the US saying the same thing.
Pro VB player... "Im so glad I didnt do a quad tendon graft. I have two teammates who are struggling so bad. One is 16 months out and just cant get over the hump."

Using isokinetics to learn about different ACL grafts 🧠 @Jordan_Cook23 shares all the ways he uses his 1080 Sprint to blend performance and rehab together, plus the lessons learned that have made him a better practitioner. For example, how force-time curves matter just as much as force numbers ✅ Same motorized resistance he uses for performance, same data he trusts in rehab Tune in to learn more about making better RTP decisions instead of just checking boxes 👇👇

18 years in, and I think we’re delivering our best product yet. Here’s why it works: Culture isn’t written on a wall. It’s lived on the floor. Phones stay in the bag. Fist bump on your way out. Big leaguers train beside high-schoolers. We aspire to build loyalty $$$ can’t buy.

We opened @CresseySP in 2007 and didn't see a Tommy John surgery in our first five years even though we were training dozens - and sometimes hundreds - of baseball players daily. This week, I interacted with two 15-year-olds who've both already had Tommy John. Let that sink in.

🔍 Quad Strength in ACL Rehab 🦵 Base of the Functional Pyramid -Research shows that for every 1% decrease in quad strength (relative to 90% limb symmetry), the risk of re-injury can increase by up to 3% 💡 Training = Testing -As time is usually limited in rehab, isokinetic loading allows the training to also be testing. The results are real-time data on force and symmetry, helping develop strength, track progress, and make rehab more objective ⚙ Recommended Settings (usually on 2nd gear) -Slow Speed (Strength Phase): 0.3 m/s concentric speed limit with 5–10% BW load -Fast Speed (Power Phase): 0.5 m/s concentric speed limit with 5–10% BW load -Volume: 2–4 sets × 8–15 reps 🎯 Outcomes to Target ✅ Return to Running: 1.7–2.2 N/kg, with > 65% limb symmetry ✅ Return to Play: 3.0–3.2 N/kg (but ideally > 4.0 N/kg), with > 90% symmetry Credit: Jordan Cook of B3 Better Sports Performance in 📍Florida

Medicine ball throws to a run usually means a sad acceleration and a mediocre toss. What to do instead? Just do throws and sprints separately and accept that they can connect down the road with athlete performance without having to immediately connect in training.
