Cuyahoga went sicko mode for Acton. She outran Obama’s 2008 margin in PARMA.
Even Cuyahoga County results show how much of a turnaround 2026 was for Democrats versus 2024.
Amy Acton won suburban Strongsville by 9.4 percentage points. It went for Trump by 9.1 two years ago. signalcleveland.org/amy-acto…

He didn't say this at all? The interviewer made a joke and pulled a number out of thin air, and Damon laughed.
A cursory Google search would tell you break-even was $750m at most. Which is a lot of money, but it printed cash for Universal, and it's going to continue doing so.
Matt Damon just said The Odyssey made almost three times what The Martian did, and that they needed to cross $1,500,000,000 just to sleep at night.
The standard for a “hit” in Hollywood is officially insane now
Matt Damon: “The Martian, which I think is the biggest movie that I’ve ever kind of headlined…”
“I think The Odyssey is almost made like three times what that made.”
“That was a real hit for me. But there’s this other league of these kind of movies that just… I’ve just never…”

I feel like it used to be really common- especially in creative fields, but even in politics- where people in their late 20s or early 30s got handed some real responsibility. And for like the first quarter of the 21st century, that stopped, no matter how capable you were.
When I read my first Tom Clancy novel I thought what most dated it, tied it to the ’90s, was its confidence—the belief in experts, the trust in institutions, the faith in technology. I wrote a whole essay about it, I found it so striking.
These days, I think what most dates Clancy is how many of his characters are empowered with real responsibility in their early thirties.

Iowa’s governor-elect Rob Sand has a surprising résumé: before entering politics, he worked as a high-fashion model, walking runways in Milan and Paris for brands including Prada, Number (N)ine, and Giuliano Fujiwara.
The 44-year-old Democrat modeled in the early 2000s to help pay for college, even appearing in Prada’s Spring 2003 menswear show.

The congressional district Haley Stevens represents in suburban Detroit is the wealthiest in Michigan.
Replying to @TraceyRyniec
Suburban Detroit especially. There's some serious money in Birmingham, Grosse Pointe, etc.
More than a little shocked Sony didn't release/hype these to the audiophile community first, so that tells me who their target market is.
