WAGE PEACE
Wage peace with your breath.
Breathe in firemen and rubble,
breathe out whole buildings and flocks of red wing blackbirds.
Breathe in terrorists
and breathe out sleeping children and freshly mown fields...

Replying to @prezydentpl @NawrockiKn
Panie Nawrocki,
"mogliśmy utracić terytorium" - to zdanie o historii.
"możemy utracić terytorium" - to zdanie o teraźniejszości i przyszłości.
A "możemy oddać terytorium" brzmi jeszcze gorzej.
Osoba wykonująca urząd Prezydenta Rzeczypospolitej nie powinna oswajać obywateli z językiem utraty, a tym bardziej „oddawania” terytorium państwa.
Jeżeli mówi Pan o historii Polski - o rozbiorach, okupacji i przetrwaniu narodu mimo utraty państwowości - należało użyć czasu przeszłego.
Dzisiaj komunikat osoby stojącej na czele państwa powinien być jednoznaczny:
nie oddajemy terytorium Rzeczypospolitej. Bronimy go.
Zwłaszcza teraz słowa dotyczące integralności terytorialnej państwa powinny być dobierane z elementarną odpowiedzialnością.
Hańbi pan godność Polaka .

1,800 DAYS WITHOUT EDUCATION: A GENERATION LEFT BEHIND💔
Today marks five years since Afghan girls and women were denied access to secondary and university education.
Behind these 1,800 days are millions of dreams interrupted, futures uncertain, and girls increasingly exposed to child and forced marriage and other forms of vulnerability.
The United Nations, Australia, the international community and other countries must not allow this crisis to become normalised or forgotten.

I received an honorary doctorate from a university in America. It should have been one of the happiest and proudest days of my life.
But that very morning, the Islamic Republic executed three young protesters for taking part in the Woman, Life, Freedom uprising.
I cried all day. I was so devastated, but when I stood in front of the students at The New School, I wanted to use that moment to tell them something that came straight from my heart:
There are young people in Iran and Afghanistan fighting for the very freedoms that students here are able to live every day. Some have been imprisoned, tortured, blinded, and even lost their lives for them.
So when you have freedom, use it. Protect it. And remember those who are sacrificing everything just to experience it.

🚨 🇵🇱 BREAKING! Poland deploys troops to the border
The decision followed the September 13 attack: Russian drones struck just a few kilometers from Poland, while one of them hit the locomotive of a Kyiv–Warsaw train about 2 km from the border.
Now soldiers from the 18th and 4th Engineer Regiments are reinforcing border crossings and building observation and guard posts.
Border guards have been ordered to issue helmets and body armor, designate shelters, and assess options for rapid evacuation.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk said border crossings will operate under a special regime in the coming months.

Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci removing her chador during her tense 1979 interview with Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in Qom, Iran...
In October 1979, Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci traveled to Qom, Iran, to interview the Islamic Revolution's supreme leader. To get inside the room, Fallaci was forced to cover herself from head to toe in a heavy black chador, leaving only her face visible.
The conversation inside the room was tense from the very start. Fallaci did not hold back her questions.
She pushed the Ayatollah on political executions, the sudden shutdown of independent newspapers, and the sharp loss of rights for Iranian women under the new regime.
When she asked about the forced wearing of the veil, Khomeini dismissed her concerns and claimed the garment was meant to protect young and respectable women. He then added,
"If you do not like the Islamic dress, you are not obliged to wear it."
Fallaci took his words literally and replied, "Thank you, Mr. Imam. Since you tell me so, I am taking it off right now."
With a quick move, she pulled the chador off her head, leaving her hair completely exposed right in front of the Supreme Leader.
Khomeini was furious.
He stood up without saying another word and walked out of the room. The room fell silent, and the interview was abruptly stopped. However, Fallaci refused to leave Iran until he returned a day later to finish the conversation.
This confrontation became legendary in the history of journalism.
It showed a reporter refusing to bow down to authority, even in one of the most dangerous settings imaginable.
Fallaci proved that real journalism requires standing up to power, asking hard questions, and refusing to be silenced by fear or tradition.
When journalists trade raw courage for easy access and comfortable silence, we lose one of our strongest shields against tyranny.
In an era where true courage in reporting feels rare, her brave stand reminds us that honest journalism still has the power to light up the dark, giving a voice to the voiceless and inspiring future generations to speak truth without fear.

We're launching this incredible book into the world—a study that pulls together evidence of Jewish presence on the territory of today's Ukraine for centuries from several languages around the world. It took decades for this book to be researched, written, and published, and now it's here. Don't miss this important conversation about the history of (proto-)Ukrainian-Jewish encounter and interaction tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at 12 pm EDT via Zoom! See the event page at the link in the next post of this thread for more info on how to register and join the book launch.

I have just spoken with the U.S. President’s envoys. They have already begun working with the Russian side today. From the moment of this conversation, we are ready to observe a ceasefire in airstrikes against the cities involved in the negotiation process. From now through the end of Saturday, as well as on Sunday and Monday, Ukraine is ready to refrain from strikes on Moscow, and we expect the Russians to do the same regarding Kyiv.
Today, I also received reports from Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi on the situation at the front, the dynamics of threats in Ukraine’s airspace, our steps, and active defensive operations. I am grateful to every one of our warriors for effectively defending Ukraine’s positions.
On the diplomatic track, our actions must be, and will be, just as strong and effective – one hundred percent. The plan for tomorrow’s diplomatic engagements in Kyiv, involving the U.S. team, has been approved. We are waiting for Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and are ready for a substantive conversation. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!

This woman is about to be executed in Iran.
Her name is Taraneh Rahimi. 20 years old. From Isfahan.
Her crime? Joining the January uprising and stopping the beating of another protester.
Sentence: DEATH after being tortured with electric shocks and threatened with rape in prison.
Despite Taraneh's deteriorating health, an official in the prison's medical unit told her:
"You're going to be executed anyway whether you die from the pain in your leg or die paralyzed, what does it matter?"
Be her voice before try he hang her!

And if you speak out, you could be EXECUTED.

I am a woman from a small village in northern Iran.
Jailed for protesting.
Beaten for showing my hair.
Expelled from parliament for exposing their corruption.
Forced into exile.
My sister was paraded on state TV to publicly disown me.
My brother was imprisoned as punishment.
My mother was interrogated to stop her from expressing love for me.
Assassins were sent to New York, three times, to kill me.
And now I’m supposed to sit next to them at the U.N. Security Council.
Thanks @USAmbUN for finally giving me a seat, so I can call out the regime, and the U.N. leadership that still legitimizes it.
This is my full address to the UN Security Council about
#IranRevoIution2026 and a massacre unfolding in Iran.

Death sentence for joining making this video.
Look at this video. What could possibly be more peaceful than this?
Ali-Asghar Peyghambari simply closed his curtain shop and joined a bazaar strike protesting Iran’s devastating economic conditions. He filmed this peaceful act of defiance and posted it on Instagram.
Now, the Islamic Republic has sentenced this young shopkeeper to death.
This is what terrifies the regime: ordinary people who refuse to surrender their dignity, even when threatened.
Watch this video. Share his name. Be his voice before it is too late.
