In Dublin this week, Jewish community leaders from across the world met with government envoys from 28 countries, with representatives from at least seven international organizations, and with executives from technology companies for the 15th meeting of the Special Envoys and Coordinators Combating Antisemitism (SECCA) Forum.
The Forum is organized by the WJC in partnership with the @EU_Commission and convened under 🇮🇪 Ireland’s rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.
⚠️ Since the terror attacks of October 7, 2023, Jewish communities have been subjected to never-ending waves of hatred, violence, and ostracization from public life.
This meeting in Dublin is a much-needed opportunity to reset the conversation between Jewish organizations, governments, and technology companies, including about how to counter online hate.
Moral clarity and responsible leadership at its finest.
ICJ ad hoc "judge" Navi Pillay is tipping the scales on the ICJ’s current proceedings on Myanmar, intending to lower the legal threshold for proving genocide so that weakened and false standard can later be weaponized against American and allied soldiers whenever they raise a finger against terrorists that hide behind civilians. Pillay: We see your agenda and we'll be watching the ICJ’s handling of these proceedings very closely. As our actions against the ICC demonstrate, we will not allow globalist, faux-judges to weaponize the law against our troops, undermine our sovereignty, or put American lives at risk.
The Nobel Committee has disgraced itself by awarding the Peace Prize to Pillay. What a shameful choice to "honor" someone who represents an "international community" with a leftist, globalist, antisemitic agenda.
President Trump is showing a better way, by actually ENDING WARS, bringing hostages HOME, and making PEACE.
🇬🇧 Britain's Jewish community has welcomed the recent review into antisemitism in schools and colleges in England.
The report - by Sir David Bell, who was commissioned
by the government to lead an independent review - sets out 27 recommendations for the government, aiming to create change in what is a frightening situation for young Jewish students.
“The struggle against extremism and antisemitism begins with education, so we must get this right in schools," Karen Newman, Vice President of the @BoardofDeputies said.
"This is not just about protecting Jewish pupils and staff, but protecting all our children from hateful and extremist ideas, and supporting schools to tackle them where they arise.”
Addressing a roomful of Special Envoys for Combating Antisemitism in Dublin last week, @StateSEAS Ambassador Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun asked an important question.
Can you say that your government is, in fact, following policies combating antisemitism?
It begs the larger question of how Western democracies are working to protect their Jewish communities – and protect the very concept of a democratic society itself.

It was a privilege to meet with @M_Fedriga, Governor of Italy’s Friuli Venezia Giulia region, in New York last week. His message was clear: institutions have a duty to combat antisemitism with concrete action — not just words.
A true friend of the Jewish people.

Hermann Höllenreiner, a Sinti survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp, passed away this week at the age of 92. He was an invaluable witness. May his memory be a blessing.
Höllenreiner was born in October 1933 and grew up in Munich. In March 1943, at the age of nine, he was deported with his family to Auschwitz in German-occupied Poland. He received the prisoner number Z-3526, which was tattooed onto his forearm, and was imprisoned in a special section of the camp designated for Sinti and Roma families. Höllenreiner was transferred out of Auschwitz before the mass murder of the Sinti and Roma family camp in August 1944. He was then imprisoned in Ravensbrück and Sachsenhausen before escaping from a death march. In 1946, he was miraculously reunited with his parents and sister.
Later in his life, he began speaking publicly about his experience, and about the discrimination faced by Sinti and Roma people.
Especially since October 7, we are seeing a trend where the political center has weakened, and the political extremes are rising.
@kschnurbein addressed it directly in Dublin, in front of Jewish community leaders at the 15th edition of the WJC's SECCA Forum.
The SECCA Forum was made possible thanks to the invaluable support of the @EU_Commission.
Dr. Alice Jill Edwards is the former @UN Special Rapporteur on torture. She has confirmed, from the inside, something we have long advocated about: That the UN’s anti-Israel obsession is real, it is damaging, and it is undermining the institution’s own credibility.
The UN was built on the promise of “never again.”
The victims of October 7, especially, deserved better than this.
By failing to fully acknowledge the horrors perpetrated since October 7, the UN has abandoned neutrality, says Dr Alice Jill Edwards

Two men in Germany were sentenced for spying on behalf of Iran’s Islamic regime and for assassination attempts on Dr. Josef Schuster, president of our affiliate @ZentralratJuden and on @Volker_Beck.
We stand in full solidarity with the Jewish community. This incident shows the global reach of the Islamic regime. Every day, Jewish communities are facing this threat.
The governments in Western democracies need to take a firm stand to protect their societies and prosecute the operatives of the Islamic regime to the full extent.
This is a roundup of just a few of the antisemitic incidents in the last few days, impacting Jewish communities and Jewish security across the globe:
▪️In Paris, a synagogue on Rue Burnouf in the 19th arrondissement was attacked and ransacked by rioters during the mass looting and destruction on Saturday, October 17.
▪️In Croatia, fans of the football team Hajduk Split chanted antisemitic slogans before their match against Ajax, singing about Auschwitz and in support of Adolf Hitler. Ajax, based in Amsterdam, is historically associated with the Jewish community.
▪️The FBI arrested a 51 y.o. man in Los Angeles following several social media posts in which he threatened to attack a Chabad pre-school. They also found materials for making molotov cocktails in his home.
▪️A woman was shouting ‘Dirty Zionists’ at people in the Golders Green Tube station in London, which is in a well-known Jewish neighborhood.

Zack Polanski remains all over the place. Having failed to muster any leadership over the Green Party’s racist vote on Zionism, he now presides over a party whose own policy he admits even he will disagree with until at least 2028. This is not a tenable situation.
Let us remember that, as of now, the Green Party's platform erases Jewish identity and experience, calls for Israel's elimination, and tells the vast majority of Jews, who overwhelmingly believe in the right of Israel to exist, that they are not welcome in the party.

EJC Director of European Affairs @AriellaWoit attended the 15th International Meeting of Special Envoys and Coordinators Combating Antisemitism (SECCA), held in Dublin from 12 to 14 October 2026.
Organised by the @WorldJewishCong in partnership with the European Commission, the meeting was convened as an Associated Event under Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The gathering brought together Jewish community leaders from across the world, government envoys, representatives of international organisations and technology company executives. It included 39 government delegates from 28 countries and representatives from seven multilateral institutions, alongside representatives of Jewish communities from across the world.
Against a backdrop of rising antisemitism and mounting pressure on Jewish communities worldwide, discussions focused on practical responses to antisemitism, the implications of emerging artificial intelligence technologies for Jewish life, the rise of extremist political movements and the broader threat antisemitism poses to democratic societies.
The programme included visits to the European headquarters of TikTok and Meta, where participants engaged with company representatives on content moderation, online safety, platform accountability and cooperation with Jewish communities. Discussions also addressed the role of technology in combating antisemitism, including the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence, as well as TikkunTech, the EU hackathon focused on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life.
The SECCA Network, a global initiative of the World Jewish Congress, brings together special envoys and coordinators, Jewish community leaders and international partners to strengthen coordination in combating antisemitism and protecting Jewish life.
The meeting provided an important forum for exchanging expertise, strengthening international partnerships and advancing practical measures to ensure that Jewish communities can live openly, safely and confidently across Europe and beyond.
🇦🇹 Vienna’s Jewish community reported 671 antisemitic incidents in January-July 2026.
Yet the most serious types of incidents - physical attacks and threats - more than doubled compared to the same period last year.
This reflects only part of the reality. Many of the individuals affected by antisemitism do not report it, whether out of resignation or fear of becoming an even greater target.

Thank you to the 🇦🇷 Embassy & Amb. Kaploun for an important evening, within the framework of Argentina’s Pres. of IHRA.
Tonight’s event only further showcased what we already know: Argentina is at the forefront of the fight against antisemitism.

Privileged to be joined in Dublin by HE Special Envoy Maqsoud Kruse at the 15th Special Envoys and Coordinators Combatting Antisemitism Forum. Building on the success of the Abraham Accords under @POTUS’s leadership, the UAE’s historic participation in this forum—the first from the region—sends a clear signal that the UAE will continue to lead in this fight. I thank @mofauae for accepting my invitation while in Abu Dhabi, and I look forward to strengthening our shared engagement with this platform moving forward.
While in the UK, CIJA CEO @nshack joined Jewish leaders from the world's largest diasporas to press for concrete measures to combat antisemitism, drawing on lessons learned from attacks on Jewish communities in other countries and the steps governments have taken in response.
Yet at the same time, a Dublin hotel cancelled reservations for 70 delegates attending an international conference on combating antisemitism after learning the purpose of their visit.
Speaking to the BBC, Noah highlighted the disturbing contrast between efforts to confront antisemitism and the deeply rooted anti-Jewish hostility that persists with extremists across Western democracies.

Since becoming the first @EU_Commission Coordinator on Combating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life in 2015, @kschnurbein has worked tirelessly to protect Jewish communities and ensure that Jewish life can flourish across Europe.
Under her tenure, the first-ever EU Strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life was passed in 2021.
Now she will continue that work from Berlin, as she will take on the post as Germany’s Federal Government Commissioner for Jewish Life and the Fight against Antisemitism.
Katharina, we wish you mazal tov.
WJC and Katharina von Schnurbein have long maintained a close working relationship, built on a shared commitment to the fight against antisemitism and the strengthening of Jewish communities. She co-chairs the WJC-initiated Special Envoys and Coordinators Combating Antisemitism (SECCA) Forum, an independent multilateral platform convening government officials, international organizations, Jewish community representatives, and policy experts to share best practices and enhance global cooperation against antisemitism.
It has been our honor to work alongside her all these years, and we will continue to do so.
