Today, @USAttyPirro, together with major federal law enforcement and in concert with interagency partners, announced actions taken by the Department of Justice’s Scam Center Strike Force to secure America against cyber and cryptocurrency investment scams perpetrated by Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs) groups.
The Strike Force announced charges against six Africa-based scammers, with connections to Southeast Asia and China, which targeted Americans with fake Nonfungible Token (NFT) investment scams.

Nigeria’s anti-drug agency, the NDLEA, picked her up on October 7, 2026, as she was about to board a flight to South Africa via Doha, Qatar.
Officers found 30 blocks of cocaine hidden among dried pepper, wrapped in tape and packed into seven parcels inside her two travel bags.
She reportedly arrived in Nigeria on September 30 to collect the drugs and was promised 20,000 South African rand to deliver them.
The NDLEA announced the arrest on October 25. A 46-year-old Lagos car dealer, Uchenna Victor Umunnakwe, was also arrested on October 14 over his alleged involvement.
