Iām stoked that Hero Kanu is playing well. He was one of the few players I was genuinely bummed I graded so low in summer scouting (191 on my summer board) but man the athleticism is undeniable and heās starting to really learn how to play defensive tackle.
"I kind of outgrew soccer, at that point I was like 240 lbs... So I needed something new."

Big news for Texas as DT Hero Kanu will bypass the NFL Draft and return to Texas for his senior season.
Kanu recorded 4 TFL's and 2 sacks in 2025. Will be a big piece of the 2026 defense. #HookEm
