Honestly there are not enough words to describe just how wonderful last night's show at @UnionChapelUK was. Thank you @hausedave, @timBILLhause and @northcotemusic. Travel safe and come back soo xx
I remember at the Festival of Speed in 2025, Alain Prost and a few others were being interviewed and it was all about Piastri. Not Nigel though, he still believed in Lando and he wasn't shy about saying it.
This “worst title defence” stuff is genuinely some of the most braindead discourse I’ve seen on this app
And that’s really saying something
Oh Lando had words in those debrief and they were not quiet ones
andrea stella on swapping his drivers during the united states grand prix:
“We had seen during the weekend that Lando was a little bit faster than Oscar. This is a track in which Lando excels and is one of the tracks in which Oscar instead struggles a little bit more.”
“So this year I think in particular for Oscar is tricky because Oscar’s superpower is to build, once he creates references he can really effectively build lap after lap.”
“But here, every lap is different. So these are the conditions that challenge Oscar. And actually are the conditions where Lando uses his own superpower which is being very adaptive to the conditions especially as the car slides.”
“So given this context we discussed before the race that if Lando was behind Oscar and Oscar could not keep up with the cars ahead then we could have given Lando a chance or an opportunity to see if we could attack the cars ahead, and that’s what we did.”
“It’s a way of demonstrating that as a team and together with the drivers we care about the interest of the team which was always the conversation that we have had. And especially after Singapore, we reinforced how much it’s important that we all together help McLaren go back to the position that we want to have, which is Oscar and Lando first row in qualifying, [and] fighting for the win. And then we manage the internal competition.”
“But up to then, all together we need to sustain the trajectory of McLaren back to the front.”
It feels like they've had a reality check post Singapore. I wonder what receipts Lando went in with during those "telling off" meetings? Their attitude the whole weekend was completely different, even down to the way Stella talked about the pit stops in his post-race.
An insanely goated piece of work here by @trumpetgod3. Bravo!
Not upset with that result, considering the pace 1-4 had on those fresher tyres, we were never going to hang on. The pace he showed today more than justified the early position swap. It seem McLaren have learned from Hungary and Singapore, just let him through and he'll score big

Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) and Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC) have jointly decided that Dakar Saudi Arabia 2027, scheduled from 1 to 15 January 2027, will not be held in the Kingdom, following recent developments in the region.
This decision is exceptional and one-off and was taken in close coordination with the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF), and with the support of the FIA and the FIM.

Since 2020, Saudi Arabia has hosted seven consecutive editions of Dakar, welcoming competitors from around the world on routes that showcased the Kingdom’s remarkable geographical diversity. These editions have made Saudi Arabia an integral part of the Dakar community and established a strong, long-term strategic partnership between A.S.O., SMC and SAMF. All three organisations reaffirm their commitment to continuing their cooperation, developing motorsport in the Kingdom and delivering outstanding experiences for competitors, teams and fans.
