I am an indigene of Enugu State and one of its major investors. I have carefully examined those aspiring to govern the state in the next election, studied their manifestos, followed their public engagements, and assessed the promises they are making. So far, I have not seen a single aspirant whose vision, proposals, or manifesto, in my assessment, rivals that of Mr. Peter Mbah the incumbent governor. This raises a serious concern for me. Are we running short of people with genuine 21st-century thinking in Enugu State, particularly when it comes to governance, economic development, innovation, and the future of our state? I want to hear directly from those seeking to replace Mr. Peter Mbah, as well as their supporters. What exactly are you proposing to do differently? What is your vision for Enugu State? And most importantly, why do you believe your administration would be a better alternative to that of Mr. Peter Mbah at this point in our state’s development? I am not interested in political slogans, personal attacks, or the usual recycled election promises. I want clear, practical, and measurable proposals. Give us something to debate. Give us something to evaluate. Give us a compelling vision for the future of Enugu State. I am genuinely interested in hearing your arguments. ⸻ Gaius Chibueze Founder, Eastside Ventures / Ohanaeze Farms, Enugu State Leader, OurEnugu.com Promoter, MAIGA (Make Ala Igbo Great Again)

Our Allegiance Is to Nigerians’: INEC Chairman Assures ECOWAS of Commission’s Neutrality #NigeriaDecides2027 The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) of its commitment to conducting credible, transparent and peaceful 2027 general elections, disclosing that Nigeria’s National Register of Voters has surpassed 103 million. INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, gave the assurance while receiving the ECOWAS Pre-Election Fact-Finding Mission, led by former Vice-President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Victor Bockarie Foh, at the Commission’s National Headquarters in Abuja. Amupitan described the 2027 general elections as a pivotal milestone in Nigeria’s democratic journey since 1999, stressing that their successful conduct would have significant implications for democratic stability and consolidation across West Africa. He disclosed that the Commission had successfully completed nine of the 14 major statutory milestones contained in its revised timetable and schedule of activities for the elections. According to him, the Commission has concluded three phases of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise and completed the physical display of the Preliminary Register of Voters nationwide. Providing details of the scale of the electoral exercise, Prof. Amupitan said INEC would deploy personnel and technological resources across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, covering 774 Local Government Areas, 8,809 Registration Areas and 176,846 polling units. He said the Commission had adopted a field-driven approach to assessing its preparedness, conducting zonal readiness assessment tours across the country's geopolitical zones. On technology, Amupitan reaffirmed INEC’s commitment to deploying the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) for fingerprint and facial biometric accreditation, alongside electronic result management systems. He also highlighted the introduction of the eEC8A electronic verification platform, which, according to him, would complement transparent result management and verification through the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV). On election security, Amupitan said the Commission was working with relevant security agencies through the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) to strengthen security arrangements ahead of the polls. The INEC chairman called for stronger ECOWAS collaboration in deploying long-term and short-term election observers, sharing technical expertise and addressing emerging challenges such as electoral disinformation, logistics and inclusive voter education. He also urged the regional body to sustain diplomatic engagement with political parties, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to promote peaceful campaigns and respect for democratic commitments. In his remarks, the Head of the ECOWAS Pre-Election Fact-Finding Mission, Victor Bockarie Foh, explained that the mission was part of the regional organisation’s established practice of assessing electoral preparedness in member states approaching general elections. Foh, alongside the Head of the ECOWAS Electoral Assistance Division and Permanent Secretary of ECONEC, Mr Serigne Mamadou Ka, said the mission was undertaken in line with Article 31 of the ECOWAS Protocol on Democracy and Good Governance, Article 53 of the ECOWAS Conflict Prevention Framework and relevant decisions of the Authority of Heads of State and Government. He explained that the mission was designed to assess the preparedness of electoral stakeholders and identify areas where the ECOWAS Commission could provide support.

I reached out to a HR mutual on this app. Told him the industry I was interested in, luckily for me he was working in one of the industries and the company was recruiting (internally I guess). I did two stages of interviews, I passed and I got a breakdown of the financial component of my offer letter. I ran to church on a hot Tuesday morning to thank God😂😂 I’m resuming on Monday 🧚‍♀️ Oh, the one I’m most excited about is that I’ll get reimbursed for every professional exam I take😭❤️ Again, X has helped my life in so many ways
Be honest. How did you get your current job?

You dey fear to tag me? You were asking for 1.5m naira for a part time admin position, some of which was to make posts on social media. A remote job at that. We already have AI softwares doing that for less than $75 a month. Your job basically as I informed you will mainly to manage ai agents and automations. I also told you that for that amount, you will probably do more than admin, you may be delegated to join our Tech team as a frontend UX staff of which you declined saying you are a UX designer only But ofcourse “you know your worth”, as in your words: you charge $2000 to design websites and people pay. Very disappointing to see this response of yours Favour. Even after the advice I gave you in the informal conversation we had. Your work ethics, work values and ability to take corrections and learn is disappointingly sad to note.
Replying to @bigheadeddudes

RE: SENATOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA’S REMARKS ON PETER OBI’S SINGLE-TERM COVENANT We have reviewed Senator Rochas Okorocha’s comments on Channels Television’s Politics Today. We accept his description of Peter Obi as “a fantastic gentleman; clear in his head.” On the claim that a single term is “a four-year gambling,” we respectfully disagree. Section 135(2) of the 1999 Constitution provides that a President shall leave office after four years and may seek a further four years. In law, “may” is permissive, not mandatory. A single term is therefore constitutional. It is not a gamble. Nigeria already tested an eight-year tenure between 2015 and 2023. The result was rising inflation, a weakened naira, soaring public debt, widespread poverty, and insecurity across the country. That is the real balance sheet of prolonged tenure without performance. Peter Obi’s offer is a performance bond, not a gamble. He has pledged to serve one term, to be judged strictly by results, and to hand over power in 2031 in recognition that it is the turn of the North. This is sacrifice for national stability. Leadership is measured by impact, not duration. Nigeria’s problem has never been insufficient time. It has been the repeated failure to use time well. Mr. Obi proposes to reverse that culture: one term dedicated entirely to delivery. When a man entitled to eight years voluntarily chooses four and invites the nation to judge him by results, he is not gambling. He is sacrificing. This is not a gamble. It is a rescue mission with a deadline. Signed, Mallam Ibrahim Hussain Abdulkarim Director-General National Campaign Council Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) #VoteNDC #NigeriaWillBeOK

ENUGU STATE: LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE AND BUILDING A UNITED NIGERIA Following yesterday’s (29th October) town hall meeting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, I proceeded to Enugu State, where we held another town hall meeting as part of our ongoing nationwide engagement. I was joined by my brother and Vice Presidential Candidate of our party, the NDC, His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. In Enugu, we met with our teeming supporters and enthusiastic citizens who lined the streets and besieged the venue in their numbers. In our conversations, including the contributions from our Vice Presidential Candidate and me, we reiterated our commitment to uniting and securing the country, tackling corruption, massively investing in critical areas of development, particularly health and education, and pulling our people out of poverty. Shortly before the town hall event, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and I met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Enugu Chapter, where we reaffirmed our commitment to national unity, religious harmony and peaceful coexistence. Leadership must be about listening to the people. Those seeking to lead must understand what Nigerians need and be willing to receive feedback on the impact of government policies and decisions. I thank our teeming supporters, party members and organisers for their dedication and commitment. I also thank the good people of Enugu State for their warm reception. A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK! -PO

What’s happening
What exactly are some Igbo political leaders afraid of? Why would anyone attempt to stop a political party from exercising its rights by prevent H.E. Peter Obi from holding a Town Hall meeting with the people of Enugu? Politics should be about ideas, not intimidation.

They suspended an Igwe in Nsukka because the Igwe received Peter Obi in his Palace. His certificate of authority was taken away from him. Peter is indeed going m@d in Enugu. Mba is turning into a tyrant in Enugu ever since he joined APC.
