I think Hyde-Smith's refusal to concede at this point has much more to do with the specific humiliation of Republicans losing a Senate seat in Mississippi to a black Democrat than it does to her belief she might pull off a come from behind victory.
Well, Hugh, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but…
The next WH Press Secretary will matter a great deal as Democrats gear up for one, last assault on President Trump.
My unsolicited suggestion: Get a list of Supreme Court law clerks from the past six years and interview those who are in fact believers in Article II powers and who can verbally battle with and best a WH press corps which will rival that of Nixon’s last two years in combativeness.
President Trump is his own best defender but a young, very smart, very articulate lawyer who knows the Constitution inside and out and doesn’t flinch from making arguments based on Article II powers is the ticket to at least getting his message out over the legacy media’s insatiable appetite for scandal and controversy as the gather their numbers for the last gasp in their 12-year war against Trump.

Oh my god someone told Trump to pick DoD Spox and ex-House GOP flak Dana White as Press Secretary and he thought they meant Dana White the CEO of UFC.
Trump: “I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States. I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris. We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Zelensky is increasingly willing to publicly contradict Trump administration officials and point out the holes in their security proposals for Ukraine and Europe.
The idea of discussing European-Russian security infrastructure is not simple, and it can be dangerous. I was very clear with all our partners: I think that first we have to discuss how to end Russia’s war against Ukraine. Secondly, what the security infrastructure will look like for Ukraine. What security guarantees will Ukraine have? And then, depending on these answers, the sides can discuss the security infrastructure between Europe – or between the EU – and Russia.
It’s dangerous when Russia wants to begin these discussions with a new security infrastructure in Europe. By the by, it's even more dangerous for the EU. We are not a member of the EU. We are not a member of NATO either. I am not trying to speak on their behalf. We all live in Europe. We don't want to have “Yalta 2.0.” We don't want to be divided by Russia.

The phoniest fakest dude in politics. The man who changed his name, appearance, religion, dress and positions in a cynically calculated way to advance himself based on what he thought he needed to do in the moment.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, who has tens of millions invested in the AI industry, is leading the charge to allow data centers on the public lands he oversees.
Yes, that sure looks like a huge conflict of interest.

When I became DNC chair, I made a bet: If we organized everywhere, we could win anywhere.
Democrats had to start organizing year-round—in blue states, red states, and purple states—to rebuild trust with voters and win back power nationwide. And that’s exactly what we did. 🧵
