Birmingham’s bin workers have been on strike for 6 months against £8,000 pay cuts.
In that time, Birmingham City Council’s leader, John Cotton, hasn’t attended ANY negotiations.

For 10 months, @unitetheunion retired members have campaigned tirelessly for a U-turn on @UKLabour's #WinterFuelPayment cuts.
Hundreds of meetings in communities, stalls in town centres, conversations on the doorstep, lobbying MPs in their offices, and demos around the country.
Unite members had already won concessions from the Stormont and Holyrood governments, and from local authorities across the country.
And now today, @Keir_Starmer and @RachelReevesMP have finally conceded that the cuts were misguided and wrong.

.@AngelaRayner, Labour MPs, and the leader of @BrumLeader, John Cotton, who incidentally has not attended one single negotiation on the bin strike, have spent weeks, if not months, demanding that our members should simply accept “the fair and reasonable offer on the table”. The problem is that there isn’t one.
