Toho used Generative AI for one shot of a croud funded campaign about celebrating Godzilla’s history with practical effects. This time is even more egregious. Last year they did it for background buildings. To say I’m disappointed is immeasurable. So much effort to be tainted.

I suggest we try to boycott this short by not watching it or talking about it when they actually upload it properly as a way to send the message that we shouldn't accept AI being used for Godzilla. Might not be a lot but we can't let this become a recurring thing going forward

Genuinely heartbroken. The new Godzilla short uses ai for a shot, what an actual spit in the face to the actual Tokusatsu within the same short, but to Godzillas legacy of practical filmmaking & human creativity. Legitimately has killed all my hype for this short, Thanks Toho

I honestly can't admire Sadie Miller enough for her courage to stand up to AI sloppers using her late mother's likeness without consent. AI slop polluting the #DoctorWho community/fandom has gone too far already, and we shouldn't be afraid to call it out.

When a voice actor does an IMPRESSION of a character that another actor has played, they are doing their take on the character, their impression of the CHARACTER and are doing it respectfully. AI creates an uncanny puppet of the ACTOR and uses their likeness in a horrific way
