Today leaders from nine blockchain organisations launched the Quantum Alliance, an open standards body working out what "quantum-resistant" should mean for blockchain networks and how such a claim can be verified. The founding contributors come from @QuantusNetwork, Postquant Labs @quipnetwork, @midnightfdn, @KeystoneWallet, @Americanfort_io, @intmaxIO, @PQabelian, @hackenclub and The Vault, and we are glad to take part through our CRO Bryn Bennett. The need is easy to see: in May one index ranked Ethereum second among quantum-prepared networks, while another scorecard, counting only cryptography already in production, gives it an F. The Alliance will publish an open definition of readiness, test criteria any team can run against its own implementation and reference designs for migration, with work starting in four groups on migration, post-quantum zero-knowledge systems, wallet security and cross-chain compatibility. For a custodian this is a practical matter, as the institutions we work with will need to judge the quantum readiness of every network and provider they rely on, ours included, and a shared public standard gives that judgement solid ground as we develop post-quantum custody of our own.

An anti-tampering system would have prevented this supply chain attack. Hard day for the industry 😞
You backed up your seed phrase. Set a passphrase. Did everything right. Then someone got your device. Maybe it was a theft. Maybe you left it somewhere. Maybe someone with the right tools and enough motivation decided your wallet was worth cracking open. This is where the Keystone 3 Pro's PCI-grade anti-tamper system becomes the last thing standing between them and your keys. The moment unauthorized access is detected, the circuitry wipes everything stored in the secure elements. No keys. Nothing to extract. And it doesn't need you to be there for it to work. Even if your main battery is dead, a dedicated button battery keeps the protection running for up to 2 years. In normal use, that protection window stretches past 3 years. Your wallet is built to lose itself before it gives anything up.

Happy to support this initiative 🤝 Every time a serious bug surfaces, users' funds and years of builders' work are at stake. Responsible disclosure exists to protect them, & not just vendors' reputation. Find it quietly, fix it fast, update users, then talk. That order saves people. Glad to make this the industry standard together. We will hold up our end. Respect to @P3b7_ & all our industry peers 🤝
Keystone wholeheartedly supports this 🤝 We've always believed security is stronger with multiple experts on it, not just one team. That's part of why we open-sourced our code, so researchers worldwide can scrutinize it, find gaps, and help us improve. It's also how we've built partnerships with @SlowMist_Team, @BlockSecTeam, @Offside_Labs, @zknoxhq & @OneKey_Anzen to harden our codebase, and in every one of those, responsible disclosure made the difference. It gave us time to ship fixes and get our users updated before anything went public. Now, AI is lowering the barrier to security research, and more people are finding bugs than ever. That's great for the community, but how that information gets handled matters a lot more when people's funds and years of builders' work are on the line. That's exactly why responsible disclosure is a must. We're glad to join our industry peers in making this the standard, and we'll hold up our end. Respect to @P3b7_ for stepping up and leading this 🤝

Sorry to see this. Genuinely. Every hardware wallet company relies on third-party logistics, and this exact scenario is a nightmare we all share. IMHO, anonymous shipping is the real way forward. We recently added PO Box delivery along with Privacy pickup options, but they only cover specific regions so far. Wider coverage is the next step. No timeline to promise yet, but the team is on it.
Two days ago, we received an update from our shipping provider, ShipMonk. We're deeply saddened to share the news that the recent data breach affects more customers than originally thought. Another 67,000 customers from the US who ordered between November 2019 and August 2021 were affected, with their full details (name, email, phone number, shipping address, order number) exposed. All affected customers have been emailed directly. If you didn’t receive an email, then you are not affected. Throughout our entire relationship with ShipMonk, we repeatedly requested and received written assurance confirming the deletion of the data, in line with our contract, data policy, and past communications. We are very disappointed that, despite receiving this confirmation, the data was not deleted in their systems. Trezor systems were not compromised, and your device is secure. But please be alert for fake emails, phone calls, fraudulent letters, and potential risks to physical security. NEVER share your wallet backup with anyone or type it into a website. We’re terribly sorry to everyone affected. We take this matter very seriously and are working to ship anonymous delivery ASAP, so you can protect your personal information when placing an order. Every item on this list exists because someone asked "but why should I trust you on that?" Fair question. So we removed ourselves from the answer 🫡
Keystone is one of the few signing devices that give you a fully trustless setup 🔐 Code? Verify and reproduce it. Entropy? Roll dice and generate it yourself. Signing? QR-based, verifiable on your end. Seed generation? MCU + 2SE combine the randomness. Your keys. Your rules.

This is exactly why we made ForgeBox. When the quantum discussion got loud recently, the team wanted to test the NIST algorithms on the Keystone 3 Pro hardware. So they just flashed test firmware on ForgeBox, which has the same hardware architecture as Keystone 3 Pro, and ran it. ML-DSA-44: ~45ms per signature SLH-DSA: ~36.6 seconds per signature Both completed with valid signatures. The second one is slow for sure, but we publish both numbers anyway. Will these be the final algos the chains adopt? Nobody knows yet. But now you know the silicon in your hardware wallet has the headroom for whatever comes. Want to reproduce it or build your own experiments? ForgeBox is exactly for this.
⚠️ Quantum computing is coming for crypto. And the first question every serious HODLer should be asking is: Will your hardware wallet survive it? 👀 Not "Will blockchains survive?" They'll adapt. The real question is whether your device can run the new cryptographic algorithms required to stay secure. If your hardware can't keep up, it becomes a relic. So we tested ours 🛠️ Using internal test firmware, we ran two NIST-standardized post-quantum signature algorithms directly on the Keystone 3 Pro, on the same chip already in your hands: ML-DSA-44: ~45ms per signature ✓ SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s: ~36.6 seconds per signature (post-optimization) ✓ Both completed. Both produced valid signatures. No additional hardware needed. Does this make the Keystone 3 Pro a "post-quantum wallet" today? No. Key protection, secure chip integration, and blockchain-level protocol support all still need to evolve. Whether Bitcoin and Ethereum ultimately adopt ML-DSA, SLH-DSA, or something else is still being worked out. But here is what the test does tell you: When that day comes, your existing Keystone hardware already has the computational foundation to meet it. You will not need to scramble for a new device because the quantum era has arrived. The hardware you own today was built with enough headroom to upgrade alongside the protocols protecting your assets.

Very cool first step! Yes, signature grinding is expensive, requiring hours of compute for one tx. Definitely not a sustainable option. But it proves the point: quantum resistance on Bitcoin is achievable, not just theory anymore. A protocol-level upgrade is still a must. And when it comes, the whole stack has to move with it. Signing device included. New signature schemes mean new firmware, maybe new chips, new everything. Post-quantum readiness is on our radar for sure.

TBH, we debated this feature internally for quite some time. PO Box delivery brings a lot of logistics complexity and support edge cases for us. But the logic is simple. People use HWW because they don't want to trust anyone with their assets. Then why should they trust us with their home address? We already delete all user data every 180 days. This goes one step further: the user's address is never collected. One note from my side: double-check that your PO Box is active before ordering 🫡
