The teller told him changes had to be made in person. He asked: “Would it matter to you if I told you I’m Pope Leo?”

That's my boy! Thanks Congressman for recognizing these amazing volunteer firefighters!
Last night, a member of my staff, Aidan Kilduff, responded alongside his fellow Tallman Fire Department volunteers and firefighters from surrounding departments to a fire in Airmont.
Responders worked quickly to bring the fire under control and ensure everyone was safe. One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital before being released.
Once there was no further threat to life, firefighters safely removed important items in the shul.
I’m proud of Aidan and grateful to all the first responders who answered the call. Their courage and care for our neighbors reflect the very best of our community.

COLUMN: With freight rates ballooning to prohibitively expensive levels, the global physical oil market is breaking apart.
Now, it’s all about location, location, location: depending of where, crude today costs $70 a barrel — or $150 a barrel.

Brink’s security guard Peter Paige, Nyack Police Sergeant Edward O’Grady, and Officer Waverly “Chipper” Brown will never be forgotten in Rockland County.
On October 20, 1981, domestic terrorists robbed a Brink’s armored truck outside the Nanuet Mall, killing Peter Paige, seriously wounding fellow guard Joseph Trombino, and stealing approximately $1.6 million in cash.
As the suspects fled, police established a roadblock near the New York State Thruway entrance on Mountainview Avenue in Nyack. When officers approached a U-Haul connected to the robbery, armed suspects emerged and opened fire, killing Sergeant O’Grady and Officer Brown.
Forty-five years later, many Rockland residents still remember exactly where they were when they heard the news. It was a day that forever changed our community.
We honor Peter, Edward, and Chipper, and keep their families, friends, and colleagues in our prayers. We will never forget their lives, their service, or their sacrifice.
