200 years ago, an amazing man named Frederic Bastiat observed it and summarized it perfectly: "When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it."
You can have legal rape, legal plunder, legal racketeering, legal theft when a group of men can capture all key positions in your Republic. Then "legal" means nothing unless you are a cockroach feeding off of crumbles or low life on someone's payroll.
Bubbles always crash... you can delay it but then the crash becomes bigger. Problem in this case is there is no institution to rely on in the USA if/when that crash comes, because the entire political class belongs to a brothel and rest of the institutions are corrupted to the core. h/t

We've reached the point where our K-Shaped Economy may be best described by the behaviors arising out of its two extremes in mood:
Brazen acts of impunity at the top paired with acts of desperation at the bottom.

Almost no one is holding gold... just 2.7% of global financial assets.
Meanwhile:
- Global debt is surging
- US M2 money supply is growing at the fastest pace in 5 yrs
- Almost every major economy is running persistent deficits
- Global bond markets are blowing up
In other words, debt keeps piling up, the money supply keeps expanding and governments need even more debt to service existing debt.
If this were a company, it would go bankrupt.
Governments don't go bankrupt. They devalue the currency and make you pay for their fiscal irresponsibility through inflation.
Gold is the natural insurance against that.
You buy insurance before the crisis.
By the time everyone wants it, the premium, in this case the gold price, has already adjusted.

Hillary Clinton: “The Republican Party is no longer a political party, it is a cult devoted to Trump and Trump’s power. The Republican Party needs a total transformation. If we’re gonna have a healthy government that actually gets things done and delivers for people, the Republican Party has to purge itself of everybody that lost both their conscience and their backbone over the last ten years and that’s most of them”

We finally have results from 217 counties across Texas.
After the first day in early voting, Democratic primary voters hold a D+8.4 point lead over Republicans compared to R+10.9 4 years ago.
Similar to the county numbers, this is a 19.3 swing in primary voters.

OIL - Maybe it's just me, but I think people have short memories & unrealistic expectations. A tripling of the oil price is actually normal behaviour 👇

BREAKING: The 15 largest S&P 500 stocks now account for a record 46.7% of the index’s market value.
By comparison, during the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble, the 15 largest stocks accounted for 27.2% of the S&P 500.
The remaining 485 stocks represent just 53.3% of the S&P 500’s market cap.
This comes as Nvidia, $NVDA, Apple, $AAPL, Alphabet, $GOOGL, and Microsoft, $MSFT, account for 7.5%, 7.1%, 5.9%, and 5.6%, respectively, or 26.1% combined.
This means just 4 stocks account for more than the next 11 combined.
Furthermore, the combined market cap of the 5 largest stocks now equals that of the bottom 434 stocks in the index, the largest gap on record.
Market concentration is at historic extremes.

We are past the point of political disagreement. We are witnessing a catastrophic collision between unchecked narcissism and obvious neurological decay. It is the most dangerous intersection in American history: a man with the absolute power of the Presidency and the absolute cognitive failure of a person no longer tethered to reality.

BREAKING: Citadel founder Ken Griffin says AI is "almost certainly" a bubble, noting that companies are struggling to turn AI spending into productivity gains.

The "unlimited AI demand" story just hit a wall.
Corporate token spending growth collapsed from 42% in July to 0.2% in September, per Ramp data. Meanwhile, return on invested capital at the five biggest hyperscalers fell from 38% to 20% as capex outruns earnings. The infinite-demand thesis needs infinite returns. The returns are going the other way.

Texas was built by hope. By people who had no business believing — but believed anyway.
To every Texan who’s ever wondered if anyone in power is paying attention: We are taking our state back.
Because a little bit of hope is a dangerous thing.

HOLY CRAP!
Trump now has the FOUR all-time WORST polls prior to a midterm election in the history of the United States since 1938.
America is catching on that MAGA is a scam.
We keep seeing the comparison showing that Democrats are out-voting Republicans in early voting, but what we’re missing is that there are many Republicans crossing over.
