I've updated my crowdfunding goal for open access publication of my book “The Russia-Ukraine War and its Origins.” gofund.me/70450610 It is accepted for publication in summer 2025 by major Western academic press following positive peer reviews after Routledge censored it. Publishing it as open access would make this book on the Russia-Ukraine war and its origins available for everyone to read, download, share, translate, and republish in whole or in part free of charge. As a reward, the donors can get free electronic edition of my book or heavily discounted hardcover edition of this book on this crucial war and its origins. The new crowdfunding goal via GoFundMe gofund.me/70450610 & PayPal (account: [email protected]) is based on higher open access fee for new publisher & depreciation of Canadian dollar. The fundraiser goal amount in Canadian dollars (CAD $28,287) is equivalent to $20,184 US dollars. The crowdfunded amount would be paid to the book publisher, a top Western academic press, to cover the open access publication fees of my book. It is also used to pay parts of open access publication fees to major peer-reviewed journals for my two articles, parts of which would be republished in the open access book. This book is based on more than 11 years of my research, which I funded with my own money. I'll also forego my royalties for this open access book. I am a Ukrainian and Canadian political scientist specializing in politics and conflicts in Ukraine. I was born in Ukraine and got my Ph.D. at George Mason University in the US. I teach at the School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa. Previously, I held various academic positions at Harvard University, State University of New York at Potsdam, the University of Toronto, and the Kluge Center at the Library of Congress. My academic publications include 5 books, 2 forthcoming books, 21 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and 13 book chapters. My interviews, comments, and publications appeared in more than 3,500 media reports in over 80 countries. More information concerning my background and research is available on my my academic and social media sites: ResearchGate, Academia, Google Scholar, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
