SPACEX IPO COUNTDOWN: In my own rounds with investors, it’s not about whether the IPOs will be successful for the big three looking to list this year. It’s about the lockups and whether big pre-IPO investors will meaningfully sell. It’s about how investors may have to rebalance, and what that means for the AI theme writ large. And it’s about earnings — how public market investors react as cash burn remains elevated. My view? I believe SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI will all likely have to raise even more money within six months of listing. They would look to equity and debt markets, both private and public. It was just the most beautiful weekend - hoping this feeling never ends

In non-finance commentary: In just a few days, I’ll be getting married. I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to build a family, to balance my life and career, and whether I can make 1 + 1 equal 3. People like @SahilBloom and new father @APompliano — who have spoken so openly about how to find meaning and balance have inspired me in a pretty deep way. (My fiancée and I listened to Sahil’s book together ahead of this moment). The biggest thing I’ve been learning: Be present. Nothing is more valuable than that. It has compounding effects, for the big days like a wedding, for every day in noticing the more mundane but perhaps important things in life, and even for great market research or building a great business. Listen more than you speak, ask more questions than presenting answers, keep your eyes wide open & try not to miss the big things around you.

PROFESSIONAL NEWS: Today is my last day at Bloomberg. After almost 12 years with the company, saying goodbye to my friends and colleagues is a huge challenge. So much of my identity had been tied to the television set, and connected to the stories I’ve written and the sources I’ve maintained throughout the way.
