People are fucking tired of this shit. They're tired of the name-calling. The tantrums. The playing with soyjaks and Harry Potter and Star Wars dolls. The sexually charged fixations on streamers and Twitter accounts that hurt your feelings. The crybully shit that nobody buys because you're fundamentally violent and angry people who never even hide it. You're fucking losers. You're fundamentally unpopular losers who believed that your Twitter engagement represented a nationally popular ideology and went on a humiliating ego trip for the last two years. Shitting your pants over and over and then announcing it was a W when people pointed out the smell. The country is sick of you, and the world is sick of you. Your Twitter numbers do not mean shit. It's time to accept that it's over and go out and form real connections with real people. Or go on being the village idiots.
“Talarico’s a q****”: MAGA turns ugly as Republicans lose big in Texas. Young Republicans call midterm results "a tragedy" as James Talarico and Gina Hinojosa flip Texas blue for the first time in more than 30 years.

we can't do "it's not my job to educate you" this go around, woke 3.0 we are all volunteer teachers
I walked the Trump rally line to listen, not make assumptions. I talked with voters, asked questions and heard what matters to them. When I'm elected, I'll represent all 82 counties and every Mississippian, no matter who they voted for. That's what being your senator means. #MississippiMatters

Everyone's falling over themselves praising Doerkson's civility and vibe, but one of his first acts is cancelling B.C.'s Be Nice To Gay People optional school curriculum, as a gay friend calls it.
There’s nothing to cancel or roll back. SOGI is not curriculum but a set of optional evidence-based resources for teachers who believe in creating safe & inclusive classrooms for everyone, which is what the BC Human Rights Act and Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms requires.

Eby can come across to a lot of people as a 'woke social justice academic' - and they just broadly assign 'socialism' to a whole ton of that. And as we've said, Eby's incompetence as a communicator meant he wasn't able to untangle that mess and carve out a different identity.

From 2020 to 2026 the BC NDP went from 13/17 of seats in Richmond/Delta/Surrey/Langley to 0/19. Thats a huge realignment and represents the majority of the change that happened in that period. If the NDP can't compete south of the Fraser River they may as well give up. #bcpoli

I am a member and I have donated countless times to the BC NDP. Its my party as much as it is yours. Whoever becomes leader we ALL need to back regardless of which wing of the party they represent. You could choose a far left leader and Id STILL vote NDP because stopping the cons is more important
“hijacking” it’s our party, we’re the ones paying for it. are you even a member? i am, and ill be voting for a rose caucus leader. bread and butter left populism, public industries, and strong unions. that’s what they need to win and that’s what the people need to thrive.

John Horgan (RIP) got the NDP elected as a super likeable guy & governed pretty much from the centre Forced the oppo BC Libs to the right Controlled (mostly) the ideologues in caucus Eby never had that gift, couldn’t keep caucus, & left the centre open to Doerksen.

For those who blame vote splitting on left, looks like right may actually get slightly more votes if take Conservatives + OneBC and if include CentreBC almost certainly do. So for NDP its clear message need to moderate if want to win in 2030. No interest in hard left

He's not wrong. We saw this in the US. Conservatives flirt with extremists and hope to ride them to victory as long as possible. The Tea Party was a joke, and it made Trump a king.
Eby says Albertans are voting in a separation referendum because elected officials normalized “extreme ideas” — and claims the same trend has taken root in the BC Conservative caucus: “By failing to draw a line, fringe ideas suddenly become normalized.”

Replying to @LDoerkson
@LDoerkson promised a fully costed platform before people started voting. He missed his own deadline. He loves to say "trust me when I say." Why should anyone, when he can't keep a promise he set for himself? Where's the platform, Lorne? #BCpoli
People are already voting, and Lorne Doerkson still won’t show you his plan. Here's why: His promises blow a $5 billion hole in the budget. His own MLA says health care will take “the brunt” of the cuts. He’s hoping you don’t find out until after you vote.

weird how the Nazi-supporting, gay-hating, First-Nation-conquering candidates keep flocking to the Conservative Party and no other party. I'm sure it's no reflection on the party itself just bad luck.
Sigh. Swing riding. Comms cleanup, aisle 4. #bcpoli #cdnpoli

Oh so the BC Conservatives ARE concerned about hateful views! Just not the ones held by their MLAs, campaign director, or candidates who could actually win.
Replying to @callistaryan
The candidate in Vancouver-Strathcona is no longer a Conservative candidate. If elected, he will not sit in caucus.
