A Nigeria where a child of nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody, Peter Obi preaches and practices it.✌️
TRANSCRIPT OF ACCEPTANCE SPEECH DELIVERED BY IBRAHIM ABDULKARIM, DG NDC NATIONAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL AT THE NEC MEETING IN FCT ABUJA A Call for Unity, Sacrifice, and a New Nigeria Formal Address to Party Leaders, the Presidential Candidate, and Elder Statesmen Distinguished leaders, our respected chairman, our presidential candidate, esteemed elder statesmen, and the young people of Nigeria, I extend my sincere greetings to you all. First and foremost, I wish to express our profound gratitude to our leader and to the young people of Nigeria who continue to believe in the vision of a better country. We sincerely thank you for providing us with a political platform through which we can pursue the transformation Nigeria urgently needs. In 2023, we made efforts to bring about the change we desired, but we were unable to achieve our objective. Today, we are grateful for another opportunity to continue that struggle. We are confident that, with your support, guidance, and commitment, we can work together to achieve our shared objective of building a New Nigeria. We believe that, united in purpose, we can overcome the challenges before us and secure victory in the forthcoming election. Acknowledgement of Our Party Chairman To our respected chairman, we thank you for your leadership and for the responsibility you have accepted in this journey. We trust in your ability to bring party members together, engage all relevant stakeholders, and encourage cooperation with our candidates. Your leadership and support will be essential as we work collectively toward electoral success and the transformation of our country. We believe that a united party, guided by a common purpose, will be better positioned to deliver the New Nigeria that Nigerians deserve. A Message to Our Presidential Candidate I would now like to address our presidential candidate. We recognise that you are a man with considerable experience, having built your own success and served as a governor. We also recognise the discipline and leadership qualities that have contributed to your public service. However, what makes this moment particularly significant is that we, the young Nigerians, have freely chosen to support you. We have identified you as the leader through whom we believe our vision for a New Nigeria can be realised. Our decision reflects our hope for a country that works for its people, provides opportunities for its youth, and creates a better future for generations to come. We believe that, through your leadership and with the collective efforts of Nigerians, we can redirect the course of our nation and move it toward a future defined by progress, accountability, prosperity, and national unity. Our ambition is not merely to change the leadership of the country; it is to change the direction in which the country is moving. Gratitude to Our Leader for His Sacrifice To our leader, Jagora, we express our deepest appreciation for your willingness to set aside your personal ambition in support of the candidate we have chosen for this important national mission. Such a sacrifice deserves recognition and respect. Leadership is not always about pursuing personal aspirations; sometimes, it requires placing the collective interest above individual ambition. We are aware that you have faced criticism and attacks from various quarters. Nevertheless, we believe that your decision is motivated by your desire to contribute to the emergence of a New Nigeria. For your commitment, your sacrifice, and your continued support, we say thank you. May God bless you and grant you the strength to continue serving the interests of our people. A Message to Our Elder Statesmen To the two distinguished elder statesmen whom we have asked to remain with us, we sincerely value your presence and, above all, your wisdom. We recognise the depth of your experience and understand the concerns you carry in your hearts about the present state of our nation.

Can we talk about how @inecnigeria fumbled the preliminary register? Seeing duplicated profiles and AI-looking faces on the portal is absolutely mental and unacceptable! How do you mess up data management this badly in 2026? Clean up this rub*ish now! 🤬🗳️ #INEC
Dear @inecnigeria , It is safe to say that you are determined to set Nigeria on the path to destruction and anarchy with your conduct. How are you duplicating real voters with AI-generated voters to cook up results, probably for the highest bidder? This is abnormal and raises legitimate concerns about the integrity of the biometric data on the register. Different individuals cannot legitimately share essentially the same facial image. Such duplication undermines the reliability of the ABIS and also calls into question the legitimacy of previous election results that saw endless court cases over irregularities. Why are you limiting public scrutiny of the voters' register? What else are you hiding? Why are you setting Nigeria up for internal destruction? Why are you choosing the path to truncate our democracy? Why not allow the will of the people to count fairly? You breached the Electoral Act by not releasing the registered voters list publicly 90 days before the elections because you cooked up the numbers with non-Nigerian, AI-generated identities. No wonder you were busy going to court to topple opposition strongholds, which saw the exclusion of many top candidates from the opposition, particularly the NIGERIAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC). We demand that Professor Amupitan step down or that you overhaul the entire system immediately and pledge to conduct a free, fair, and credible election, not destroy Nigeria from within. @PeterObi @NigeriaNDCHQ @ruffydfire @seunokin @OjyOkpe @channelstv @ARISEtv @USinNigeria @WhiteHouse45 @ARISEtv @AJEnglish @NewsCentralTV @nypost @CNN @EstherUmoh10 @NICKIMINAJ @RepStutzman @ziter001 @IdrisZekeriJnr @Ccikokwu @iamHSDickson

INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION PRESS STATEMENT UPDATE ON THE DISPLAY AND PUBLICATION OF THE PRELIMINARY REGISTER OF VOTERS FOR THE 2027 GENERAL ELECTION The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) wishes to provide an update on the display of the Preliminary Register of Voters ahead of the 2027 General Election. 2. In accordance with Section 19 of the Electoral Act, 2026, the Commission conducted the physical display of the Register at Registration Areas nationwide from 9th to 15th October, 2026, providing registered voters the opportunity to inspect their particulars and submit claims and objections as prescribed by law. 3. The Commission has taken note of the concerns expressed by Nigerians and other stakeholders regarding the desirability of making the Register accessible through its online platform in addition to the physical display already conducted. 4. Accordingly, and in furtherance of its commitment to transparency, accessibility and public confidence in the electoral process, the Commission has decided to make available on its online platform display.inecnigeria.org the same Preliminary Register of Voters earlier displayed at the Registration Areas. 5. This additional measure complements the physical display already undertaken and is intended to facilitate wider public access to the Register. Meanwhile, the Commission continues to process claims and objections arising from the exercise in accordance with the Electoral Act, 2026, preparatory to the certification and publication of the Final Register of Voters on 15th December 2026. 6. The Commission appreciates the continued interest and constructive engagement of Nigerians and stakeholders and reiterates its commitment to transparency, accountability and the faithful implementation of the Electoral Act, 2026 in delivering credible elections. Mohammed Kudu Haruna Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee (IVEC) 26th October, 2026
