Libertarians don’t agree on everything. Nor should we.
We disagree on principles, priorities and how liberty is best protected. Those differences matter and deserve honest debate.
But defending individual freedom means respecting peaceful disagreement, not demanding conformity.
Unity isn’t unanimity.

The charges appear to apply only to true threats, which his words as reported are clearly not. There is also a related misdemeanor assault, which is... a misdemeanor.
By overcharging this man, the DA risks losing the entire case while emboldening others who will make true threats and potentially escalate to felony assault.
It's possible the DA hopes to use the charges to coerce a plea deal. This is also despicable, and coercive plea deals must be abolished.

Is speech a crime? What are the charges?

Israel wants war with Iran, specifically with the US leading the charge.
Netanyahu has wanted this since the 1990s. Now, his political survival depends on perpetual war.
Americans shouldn't fight and die for Israel.

I’ve spent a lot of time lately thinking about what we’re actually fighting for.
Somewhere between the party infighting, ideological purity tests, and endless arguments on social media, I think we’ve lost sight of something important.
Liberty isn’t just a political philosophy. It’s a way of life.
It’s about building relationships, strengthening communities, helping our neighbors, and creating a world where people choose cooperation over coercion.
We should spend less time arguing about who represents liberty best and more time showing people what liberty looks like in practice.

Hoppe is wrong on:
- Javier Milei
- The Holocaust
- Israel
- Net Taxpayers
- Preferences for Monarchy
- Every empirical topic he tries to apply deontological praxeology to
Which frankly isn't surprising from a career state-funded academic.

Some more details of this case (the family has asked to remain anonymous for now):
The baby was born at 24 weeks, 2 days, with numerous medical complications including placental abruption, breech birth, an Apgar score of 1, and immediate intubation.
She spent four months in the NICU with documented metabolic bone disease, a Grade IV brain bleed (the most severe classification), a cardiac defect, and feeding difficulties, all rooted in extreme prematurity. She was under continuous professional care for 122 days.
The accusing physician’s report claims the baby had no prior hospitalizations or medical conditions, that her birth involved no trauma, and that she was a “healthy five-month-old.” None of that is true, and technically if she had been born on her due date, she would be seven weeks old now.
He claims her bones were healthy, but multiple labs confirmed the opposite: an alkaline phosphatase nearly 4x the upper limit of normal, a PTH nearly 3x the upper limit of normal, low phosphorus, and documented anemia of prematurity. For a baby in her condition, fractures were guaranteed to happen.
He claims his report was based on a complete medical review, but also admits he never received birth records, NICU records, or primary care records before signing his opinion.
He further claims the baby was not being treated for anything, yet his own billing records and the hospital’s IV orders show she was actively receiving IV potassium phosphate to treat the metabolic bone disease he claimed didn’t exist.
In addition, the hospital also documented no bruising, no swelling, and no head trauma on admission, and independently diagnosed her with osteopenia of prematurity.
And if that's not all enough, even the accusing doctor in his report says "her history of extreme prematurity and radiographic evidence of osteopenia warrant careful consideration."
Well yes, because there's no actual evidence of abuse (except the absurd report), and mountains of evidence that her active disorder caused the injuries.
These parents did the right thing. They realized something was wrong was their baby, who had already gone severely premature deliver and months of NICU hospitalization, and they brought her to the hospital for help.
Instead, they were arrested, and they face decades in prison. Worse yet, they face never seeing their baby girl again.

We're currently working with a family who is facing decades in prison for "child abuse" that never happened.
The child was born severely premature (24 weeks), spent 4 weeks in NICU, and she has active metabolic bone disorder that caused the injuries.
All of this is confirmed by extensive medical records, test results and billing records.
The state's sole evidence of "abuse" is a report from a physician that ignores the medical evidence, and STILL doesn't rule out her disorder causing the injuries. That's called reasonable doubt.
And yet, the trial is still moving forward, they parents have been in jail for over a year with no bond (denied three times) and no access to their baby girl, and they face decades in prison and never seeing her again.
This the kind of garbage we fight every day at @YATPOfficial. And just like with the other families, we're going to win this one too.

Whatever your position on SW is, you have to agree the definition of solicitation in PHX is absurd.
@MayorGallego really takes the phrase "don't talk to strangers" as law.
"Among the circumstances that may be considered in determining whether such an intent is manifested are that the person: repeatedly beckons to, stops, or attempts to stop or engage passersby in conversation."

In a normal world, we wouldn't care about elections in a small, insignificant country located more than 6,000 miles away.
But here we are.

Many of the things that make a country rich are invisible.
You can’t see or touch property rights, the rule of law or the ease of doing business. That makes them easy to overlook.
People talk about natural resources, but pay much less attention to whether ordinary people can start and run businesses without facing senseless rules and regulations.
People are much more willing to invest when their property is protected and the same rules apply to everyone, including politicians.
If you’re afraid an official could take your land or shut down your business, you’re going to think twice before risking your savings.
A country can have plenty of natural resources and still make it hard for its people to prosper.

This is another attempt by the far-right to take over the Libertarian Party. We already went through repelling one attempt and the same people are trying again to turn @LPNational into a Working Families Party for the Republicans. My progressive friends don't understand to what extent we libertarians are fighting on the front lines, so to speak.

A civil federal lawsuit was just filed for the negligent death of Tracy Brooks, 56, after Greenwood PD in SC picked her up at a business for allegedly being intoxicated and dumped her at a dark gas station at 1 a.m., abandoning her there. She had begged police not to leave her there and take her to a hospital or even jail instead. The cops turned off their bodycams, dumped her and left. It was 28 degrees. She had mobility problems due to an injury and needed a walker. She was alone in the dark and began slowly walking up the road on her walker on the dark highway. She walked down the road for 90 minutes on her walker until she was hit by a DUI driver around 2 a.m. and killed. She was 2 miles from her home toward which she had been slowly moving.
The sheriff refused to fire the cops. Ballenger quit and moved on. Teasley is still there. Federal civil lawsuit filed in October 2026. This page will be updated as the case evolves.
Greenwood PD in SC
Responsible officers: Anna Ballenger and Austin Teasley
Police Chief: T.J. Chaudoin.

The Jones Act is supposed to boost U.S. shipbuilding. We don't build many non-military ships here. But do you know what the second-largest sector of U.S. manufacturing is? "Motor vehicles, bodies and trailers, and parts" and "Other transportation equipment." @cpgrabow
