My first article for Beyond The Fold: an open-science group of prion ECR's , focusing on recent research, debates on controversial topics, and opinion pieces on all things prion! Here I talk about a kind of α-syn that was more prion-like than expected... shorturl.at/LUuYf

Love the photo! How do you like the 2x tele on the RF 100-300? I have been using the 1.4 and am happy with it but have hesitated getting a 2x based on past disappointment with the EF version. Sounds like I might be missing out.

The public loses faith in vaccines not because of ACIP, but because of current HHS leadership who distort facts for personal and political agendas.
The latest Osterholm Update podcast episode is here! @mtosterholm & @cvdall discuss the remaking of the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and what lies ahead for US vaccine policy and provide updates on measles, H5N1, COVID-19, and mpox. cidrap.umn.edu/anti-science/…

From Marcus Aurelius Meditations book four: “A key point to bear in mind: The value of attentiveness varies in proportion to its object. You’re better off not giving the small things more time than they deserve.”

We are grateful for the support from the CJD foundation that made this work, and just as importantly, training the next generation of scientists, possible. @CJDFoundation

We developed the prion swipe test to be used by groups working on prion and prion-like diseases as part of a broader prion safety program to assess prion decontamination of surfaces. We hope that this will be useful for our colleagues working in the field. app.jove.com/t/67889/prion-s…
