A reading of the proposed staff cuts in the ANU CASS confirms my impression that they are likely to affect women's academic employment most severely. Not only are many positions being cut at Levels B and C, some more senior positions being cut are also held by women.

Very proud of fabulous artist and hubby @studiostrauss whose work is currently being exhibited across the world. This @artcrush project showcases art on screens in public spaces where everyone can encounter it during their day to day.
Super excited - my artwork is part of @artcrush World Council Selection exhibition in collaboration with @oOh_Unmissable ! Huge thanks to @GTSewell for putting my name in the hat. My piece was shown on 500 screens across Australia, and I’m thrilled it’ll now be heading to Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas! Stay tuned for more updates on this incredible journey.

Do better, with less: ANU
ANU has confirmed its intention to cut 108 more jobs, bringing the total to158. @ourANU is planning more job cuts while asking staff to forego pay rises to save jobs. This will reduce redundancy benefits with no guarantee that any jobs will be saved. #VoteNO @NTEUnion

It explores how accessible complaints mechanisms, policy initiatives that strengthen and build natural supports, and shared responsibility for preventing violence and abuse across policy actors are key to promoting quality and safety within marketised services environments.

People with disability are sometimes labelled as ‘inherently’ or ‘specially’ vulnerable, but we argue that disabling service environments, inaccessible complaints mechanisms, and social segregation produce and impose vulnerability upon people within systems like the NDIS.

⁦@LowyInstitute⁩ just published a great piece by ⁦@MattWithers_⁩. Big surveys are a useful tool, but not so much for exploring the complexities of people’s lived experience. It’s important that govt listens to multiple forms of evidence. lowyinstitute.org/the-interp…
